This has been fun ya'all. I've really enjoyed watching a great race and talking something outside of politics for a while. I has been a pleasant diversion, to say the least.
In saying so long, here's something to think about. It's a graphic I pulled from the USA Pro Challenge website. Citing Aussie rider Rory Sutherland:
GOD willing, see you next year.
I didn’t have the opportunity to post this year but as in past years I followed the thread. THANK YOU for a wonderful post! It is appreciated!
Don’t get too comfortable, the tour of Utah starts this week.
Not the most exciting race this year, IMO, but still quite enjoyable! I've always felt just finishing is admirable!
We did see Floyd Landis do it as part of the Copper Triangle but were not able to watch him except pedaling away from us as we manned the aid station. The USA pro challenge had the ITT up Vail pass a couple of years ago but they stopped just before the really steep parts. As it turns into a bike path and is just off the shoulder of I 70 in sections, I think it was for the safety of the riders.
Vincenzo Nibali was the most dominant rider in the Tour this year.
I wish I could get Universal Sports so I could watch the Vuelta de Espana.
