Now, there's something you don't see every day. A Star Wars Stormtrooper walking down the street.
It happened in Salina Monday, and it prompted a brief lockdown of at least one downtown business. Salina Police say officers responded to the report of an armed man in the 100 block of S. 7th Street.
The call came from nearby business, Action Travel, as a customer saw what appeared to be a man in a costume, carrying a weapon. Police advised the business to go into lockdown as police checked out the situation.
Police said the man and a friend was shooting a video for Vine, and the weapon was a plastic prop gun. The incident was captured on camera, and KSAL posted the image.
The man has been identified as 27-year-old Christopher Burns. He was not arrested, but police did advise him about walking around with a simulated fire arm.
This is not the stormtrooper you’re looking for.
He looks awful short to be a stormtrooper
Many dogs were saved when the cops had to respond to this incident.
How about a nuclear wessel?
“The call came from nearby business, Action Travel, as a customer saw what appeared to be a man in a costume, carrying a weapon. Police advised the business to go into lockdown as police checked out the situation.”
The level of cravenness in this country is astounding...who ever called the cops should be mocked mercilessly and publicly for wasting the cops time.
(excuse me while I whip out this Sturmgewehr)
Is that what normal people would call, "Lock the door," or is there more to it?
Suppose the stormtrooper had wanted to book a flight to Dagobah? The agency would have lost a big commission.
Thank goodness he wasn’t carrying a pop tart.
I spent my wedding night in a Ramada Inn on I70 in Salina on June 5, 1966. Don’t hear much about Salina, (pronounced sa line a) anymore.
They were all wearing red shirts, something had to give.
At least professional courtesy remains alive and well amongst stormtroopers.
They can't, he's wearing space armor.
Locals say that Salina has never been the same since that big night in June of 1966.
I salute you, sir.
“He looks awful short to be a stormtrooper”
Excellent!
Maybe the store owner should see a movie once in a while.
Kansas: I’d go armed there too. Sebelius country.
Not admitting to being a fanboy, but I thought the stormtroopers were all clones. The redhead looks like something I would like to breed with.
lol
