Magnitude isn't used as a distinguishing characteristic of nuclear detonation detection. The main characteristic of a nuke or massive conventional detonation is the seismograph patterns:

I was awake during it. The whole trailer I was in started rocking back and forth enough that I had to widen my stance! I’m about 20miles from the epicenter. There is no fracking in this area and the blasting the mines do is nothing like what happened. Very odd for this location.

I watched it on the ABC7 cam last night. It was delayed but live. Most interesting events right now. UTAH, OKLAHOMA, NEW MEXICO, ( or was it actually in AZ?)

I did not feel it, people about 30 miles N. of me did but it was felt from Benson, Az to parts of El Paso, TX from reports from friends.

There was what sounds like a fairly major quake years ago in Southeastern AZ, Mexico:
