What’s more, becoming a nurse practitioner is academically rigorous. Thei guy doesn’t look all that bright.

Michael D Mathis RN of 28 years and still counting! You’ve never been around a lot of female RNs haven’t you? We ran a couple of them off after we caught them stealing dope and working on the job while under the influence.
You might be wise not to trust the medical professions in general at this point, especially while we are under the aegis of Obamacare!
Reminds me of a story.
Worked in big hospital on surgical pre and post op floor. One of the 3-11 staff was a very light in the loafers male LPN nurse. His job was to do all the male shaves on this busy 60 bed unit. This was back in the era of nipples to knees pre-op preps.
There was never a happier LPN in all of the state than this guy. He SANG through his work. Grinning from ear to ear. I would check up on him occasionally, never found anything untoward, but often the guys he was shaving looked a bit trapped.
