VERNON A former nurse practitioner from Vernon admitted in court on Thursday that he raped a 3-year-old girl and conspired to rape an 18-month-old baby.
Jay Mohler-Avery, 46, in pleading guilty, also admitted trying to get the mother of the 18-month-old to move her four children and herself in with him so they could be his sex slaves.
He claimed, according to the police investigation, as outlined by prosecutor Elizabeth C. Leaming, that children would not be harmed by having adults sexually exploit them.
"Children should be able to explore their sexual curiosity in the home with other children as well as adults," Mohler-Avery told the 18-month-old's mother, according to Leaming. Mohler-Avery also badgered the woman for days to bring her 18-month-old daughter to him so that he could "break her in early," Leaming said.

What he did was not the mind of Christ either.
Neither look like they have a soul. Reminds me of Charlie Manson.
There is a special place in hell for this pig. I hope he arrives there soon.
What’s more, becoming a nurse practitioner is academically rigorous. Thei guy doesn’t look all that bright.
That would be too gentle.
Being fed to hungry little dogs , toes first.
Do you have daughters?
He will never make very far in prison.
Firing squad? Naw, that’s too easy on him. Throw him into a pen of hungry hogs, hog-tied himself. Let them eat him alive. Might as well recycle him, that’s the best use he could have for society.
Chainsaw.
Take your time.
Ever been molested?
To quote a song
“You don’t know what’s going on inside of me.
You don’t wanna know what’s going through my mind.”
You also don’t want me to be “queen for a day”, either.
I’d empty the jails of pedos...the hard way.
Penis first. . .
I agree. The desire to be a god is a mental sickness apparently not reserved to leftists.
Romans 12:19b
Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.
It is enough to support the death penalty and recognize that crimes like this deserve the death penalty. God did not equip human beings with the capacity for righteous torture.
Deep down people take pleasure in knowing others commit these horrific crimes because it makes them feel they are good people. Not raping children does not make a person good or worthy of Heaven.
We are not good people just because we never dealt drugs, robbed banks, or murdered anyone.
God is the only One Who is able to righteously pay back the crimes this man committed.
I agree with you and find it disturbing at how many on FR love to boast of creative ways they would like to torture someone for horrific crimes they have committed. It makes me tremble when I think of how God will evaluate statements like these on judgment day.
Those who do not humble themselves before Almighty God, and give Him the respect He deserves, will share the same hell as this child rapist.
Eighteen-month old infants should not have any sexual experience at all and those who justify subjecting them to it, in my opinion, are consigning themselves to the lower circles of Hell. Unfortunately, the advocates of this perverted behavior have gotten traction in today's “culture.”
If my colorful remarks offend, I apologize. I do not support capital punishment, despite my remarks. I am Pro-Life all the way.
The Reckoning will come and it will not be tasty for those who engage in perverted practices”...
I was wondering whether anyone would point out the fact that advocates of child sex have gotten traction in this society, some of them members of the Psychological world. If people do not react and react strongly to these crimes, next thing you know Washington will be trying to make these people a protected class. I suspect there is more than one child molester with national influence just waiting to push legalization of those acts. God's anger burned against hedonistic nations to the point where he wiped them out, and I believe, without repentance, that is going to be America's fate. I applaud the visceral, normal, reaction to this heinous man..The folks here would not actually carry out their fantasies, but the folks in prison might. Even criminals of other crimes find the sexual abuse of children abhorrant. One other thing..Many of our government schools now require that very small children now be subjected to "sex education," which is a psychological way of raping them, for their innocent minds and their hormone-less bodies are not ready for that information. One wonders whether those acts were designed to secretly preparing children for early molestation. I would like to know who or what lobbying group decided that those classes would be forced upon our kids. Do we really think that a left-wing government which destroys millions of kids in the womb really cares about what happens to them after they are born, if it is not politically expedient to do so? Look at how the children coming in over our borders are being treated. Some people now think those kids are being exploited for the political purposes of the government in Washington D.C. God help us as we celebrate the 4th of July. At this point, I am thinking only an "Old Testament" act of God will turn this thing around.
The judge’s name is given. “Rockville Superior Court Judge William H. Bright Jr. said that he has presided over sexual assault cases before, but that Mohler-Avery’s was especially troubling. “I don’t know that they get much worse than this,” he said.”
That man is hideous looking, who would go near him with a 10 foot pole?
man ya gotta hope this scum gets a beating in prison daily.
Just put him in the general prison population. A couple of days before he arrives, let the population know exactly why he is in prison. Results will be the same as a firing squad, but probably not nearly as quick or painless.
That they “dont get much worse than” ..the perp....indicates he the judge understands the concept of scale...of orders of magnitude.....
On the scale of punishment ...23 years in prison comes nowhere near the worst that could happen to the perp.
Id better let this go..as its too early in the morning to be enraged over another matter I cant control...
People are overwhelmed with horror and disgust, and they recognize that, for all the 23-year sentence, this man will probably be out in 10, and will almost certainly conspire - and possibly succeed - in raping additional toddlers.
It’s possible that the option of a quick and humane gunshot to the head would prevent what are probably decent people, overall, from indulging in fantasies of creative cruelty.
The Law of Moses never discussed execution by fire ants or wood chipper.
The usual method was stoning, which depending on how it’s done can be relatively painless. Or really, really bad.
