I love to play soccer (although I think it can get boring to watch). I was on the U of Washington Huskies varsity team.

But I have lost all desire to watch Copa Mudial after hearing about the Brazilian slaughter of their children in their streets to prepare for this event!!!???.

Whoever is in charge of the World Cup should have immediately revoked Brazil as the venue and taken the delayed event somewhere else. How can I endorse this ratification of more slaughter of the innocents by watching this thing?

Can't do it. Don't want to. Should be boycotted.

In any given outing, the best, the absolute best a team can do is win. They won. What’s the gripe?

I always liked the reply that we beat other countries who list soccer as their #1 sport, while soccer is maybe 4th or 5th here. That’s enough for me.

Ryu has no idea what he is talking about. The US team played a great game. When you are up you shrink the field and play defensively. Then the other team is pressed to score. If you continue attacking your team is spread thin and is easy to score against.

How could anyone complain about 2 fast goals when you need them.

Team USA cheated.

Whenever they got the ball they tossed sandwiches onto the sidelines.

The Ghana dudes all ran over there to get them.

For those here that prefer Brazilian soccer fan girls to NFL man on man action...

I felt the US team did good for being an average team. They beat one of the better teams in Africa which nobody expected. Hopefully as the sport is becoming more popular, more money will be in it which means more infrastructure for finding and cultivating talented players. Hell, if US can beat Portugal (unlikely but one can hope) they may even live to escape the group of death they put us in.

This was the worst looking US World Cup effort that I can remember. Yet they won. Scoring has always been a problem. Yesterday they scored two legit goals.

Hopefully the sloppy play was nerves. They’re not accustomed to defending an early lead in World Cup play.

The USA / Ghana game was the very first time I ever watched soccer on T.V.

For being the most popular sport on the planet....I have no idea why...

I’m glad we won....I would never have described the game as “Dramatic”...

Its a gift that the U.S. doesn’t dominate at soccer.

If we did, then entire world would ally against us.

Obama as President. Same sex marriage. World Cup cared about by Americans.

All part of the same disease.

Do have to agree with his comment about Michael Bradley, he was horrid last night - hopefully just a one off thing. Don't think the Ports will be as quick as the Ghana players either.

The American announcers do get tiresome with the over-hyping of all things American, especially Tim Howard. I remember two or three decent saves, but I also question him somewhat on the goal (ex-keeper, so I may be overly critical).

It seems like we lack in many areas: ball comtrol, passing, tackling, and passing.

Soccer is part of a Satanic/Communist conspiracy and has something to do with the LGBT demonic movement. I haven’t worked out the details yet though.
