I work in health care and I have seen several and heard about a couple. Took care of a young person in a car wreck. Had had bilateral bone removed on both sides of his head to relieve pressure from swelling. Not a bright out. One doc I worked with said he is “f**ked”. Well he was discharged and back in college. Then there was the traffic accident when a mysterious priest showed up ( since indentifyed) who prayed for a young women dying. Very strange circumstances. After the priest prayed equipment started working and the young lady (19 years old) survived.

These past few years I’ve faced miserable circumstances, seriously, life is not peaches and cream. But I have found so much strength from all of you... I have struggled, I’ve faced a lot, and it’s been painful to no end. But over the years my FReep family has kept me level, in a network of like minded friends. I love you all — you are my miracle! I thank God I found you!

If you saw a Miracle, one from God, then the Bible is not complete.

I guess miracles are different things to different people.

I have twins who are now 27 - boy and girl. My daughter has always been the perfect child. No problems - MBA, married. Her twin brother, however, was the opposite. In trouble since he was little. He has given me many sleepless nights.

About six years ago my daughter was flying back from California with a friend after a summer mission trip. As she sat down on the plane, the woman next to her asked if she had a brother who she prayed for a lot. She said yes. She had never seen this woman or her husband and had not been talking about her brother so the woman didn’t overhear anything. She told my daughter that God told her to tell her He was going to bring him back. Told her she and her husband were youth leaders at that church (I think somewhere in Tx.). My daughter had just taken motion sickness medicine and told her she would soon be asleep so she didn’t talk to her any more.

About 7 or 8 months ago my son was drunk and trying to cross a very busy street at about 11 pm. He was hit by a car doing 45 mph (not speeding). When we got word, my daughter and I rushed to the hospital, expecting to see him in ICU if he was still alive. When we arrived, he was in an ER room and talking. He just had some cuts and his knee and ankle hurt but no other injuries. They released him. The nurse said it was a miracle that he was not killed. There have been quite a few pedestrians killed on the same road.

He is now in a Christian rehab facility in Boone, NC and set to “graduate” at the end of this month. I am praying hard that this is his turning point and that God did indeed “bring him back”. Was it a “miracle” that God put that woman on the same plane with my daughter to give us a message of hope? Was it a “miracle” that my son survived an accident that should have killed him? Is it a “miracle” that my church was able to get my son into rehab that is Christ-centered? It is to me.

I had something happen once, and I know of another. I don’t know if they qualify as miracles, or just divine occurrences (not sure if there’s a difference).

Several years ago, I started having heart palpitations. I don’t like going to doctors, and having to go for that issue scared me. The morning of the appointment, I was really apprehensive. I prayed..told God I couldn’t stand being so nervous all day, and asked Him for comfort.

The words were not completely out of my mouth when I was hit-—overcome-—by a huge wave of warmth and utter peace. “Wave” is the only way I know to describe it because it swept over me, hard but not in a bad way. Just like that, all the nerves were gone, and I stayed wrapped up in that cocoon of warmth and peace all day. I know it was the Holy Spirit, and I’ll never forget it.

The palps were due to overindulgence of coffee, BTW.

The other incident involved my husband’s aunt (by marriage). One evening she was working late downtown, and when she went to the parking garage for her car, she was confronted by a thug with a knife. This lady is a very devout Christian, and she just started praying...out loud.

The guy started towards her, and suddenly he stopped in his tracks. She said he was staring up into the air behind her, and his eyes bugged out in fright. She glanced around and up.....nothing there. But the thug was frozen in apparent terror, shaking all over. He couldn’t take his eyes off that empty spot in the air. Finally he turned around and ran out of the garage.

She never saw anything, but she believes it was an angel, sent in response to her prayer.

I had just moved to a new city, taken a new job. My company had folded, and after seeking work for months, I sold just the house I grew up in, left the friends I had known for 40 years to take a job 1000 miles away.
I was sitting in the parking lot at McDonalds eating a 99 cent cheeseburger for lunch - yeah, money was tight. I was feeling very sorry for myself. Suddenly a face appeared in the window. It was a fellow about my age. “Sorry to bother you, buddy, but I’m out of work, lost my apartment, and haven’t eaten in three days. You got anything to help a brother in need?”
I sighed. His situation was not that much different from mine just a few weeks previously. I could give him money, yes, but how could I help him?
“Sure I can”, I said. “I been out of work myself, but just moved to town, and I’m doing OK now. I don’t mind a bit, because it’s not my money, it’s God’s, and everything I have has been a gift from him, and we are to help each other.”
I reached into my billfold, and my heart sank. All I had was a $20 bill. That was supposed to be my lunch budget for the month. But I had given my word...
“Brother, this is all I have right now. I don’t care what you spend it on, and I don’t want to know. I just give it to you on the condition that you save $2 as a tithe, and make sure you find yourself in Church on Sunday, and you put those $2 in the collection plate, to glorify God.”
His eyes got big, and he grabbed my head between his hands and kissed me on the forehead! He took the money and was gone.
I hung my head and prayed. “Oh God, I must have sounded like an idiot to this guy. I hope I did the right thing.”
Suddenly I heard him shout, “THANK YOU JIM, GOD BLESS YOU!”
I was stunned. How did he know my name? I jumped out of my car. He was NOWHERE to be seen - not in the parking lot - not in the McDonalds.
I still get chills to this day relating this incident.
Hebrews 13:2 “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”

I do not know how to classify this. I was visiting my brother and his family in my hometown. We were talking about our parents. He said our dad was often called to the homes of very sick people. He would stand in the doorway to their bedroom and look at the sick person. He then would tell the family how long they would live. He was always right. How did he do that? There are many things I do not understand.

One was a particular providential miracle, that of a Pentecostal German man walking up to me in the airport (1994) and placing $200 in my hand, after we had prayed to God to show us if He really wanted to us to go to Florida (as it seemed the Lord had said) to outreach during the Winter (we did, and lived out of a van).

Which lead to a miracle of healing of a hernia, which i got from lifting hickory wood the wrong way (spirit was willing, but the flesh then was too weak). It was bad enough that i had to lay down for it to recede after lifting even approx 30lbs, unless i was very careful (use legs), likewise shoveling snow.

After about 5 years, while in Florida i went to a church in Plantation, i think it was called Good News, and after the service the pastor said if anyone needed healing to come up for prayer. I did, and without any fanfare a couple quietly prayed form me, and i never had a problem with it since.

After healing, i have many times out shoveled all others on my block, praise God,, and at 5.5, 130lbs have lifted, by God's grace and with one friend on the back end, a very heavy extra capacity washing machine (w/ some water in it) from the basement to the 2nd floor, as well as large gas stoves and refers refer up two floors (help on the back end for those), and dug up about 80' x 20' of rocky grass covered land with a pitchfork (broke thrice) to make a garden, so i thank God He heals!

My wife had the side of her skull cutout to remove an acoustic neuroma that was so involved with various things that she could not stand without falling down. The surgery lasted 14 hours at Yale and when she woke up the next morning she remembered everything I had told her in NICU which amazed the head of Neurosurgery at Yale. This was when she was about 54 years old. When she was 30 she had breast cancer and a radical mastectomy. At 50 she had cancer in her other breast and that time needed a heavy dose of chemotherapy. This past year her and I worked every night when I got home from work to finish the basement in my daughters house, my daughter is a widow with three girls 14 and under. She cut and I nailed the framing. The two of us drywalled the ceiling and the walls, did the electrical, plumbing etc. When she was 60 she sat on the peek of the roof and cut shingles for me as I nailed. We have a two story home about 2200 sq ft.

Is that miraculous? I don’t know but it sure amazes me and I thank God every day for looking kindly on us.

Not so sure I’ve ever seen one, but could sure use one. Been in St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma with my Mom since Thursday. She had an infection that got into her bloodstream. Seemed to be much better yesterday, but took a turn for the worse during the night. CR/MRI tests today. She’s not talking. Not sure whats going on. Playing it hour by hour. Praying the best I know how (never been overly religious, not a churchgoer). These stories are heartening.

I had a miraculous encounter about thirty years ago. Not due to an accident, but rather a dispute with a customer in a store I was working in. It was very upsetting to me, and I was really down in the dumps. Later that evening, another man came into the store looking for advice and asked several good questions, that I was able to answer.

Difficult to describe, but while I was talking to this man, I had a feeling that even though he was a total stranger, he was a person you could trust completely. The man thanked me for my help, and walked out the front door. He didn’t get into a car, but walked around the corner of the store and headed down an alley. The alley was probably about 150 feet in length, with the only way out at the other end.

I waited a few moments, then walked out the door myself and looked around the corner down the alley. The man was gone. There was no way he could have walked down that alley in the time before I got there. Call me crazy, but I believe that person was a guardian angel sent to give me support and encouragement at a time when I really needed it.
