While Cedar Point was closed because of a water main break over the weekend, 16 of the theme park's employees were busy getting arrested.
Police from the park and the city of Sandusky say they arrested 16 people after a melee broke out in the employee recreation center early Sunday.
Jail records say the employees were charged with aggravated rioting and disorderly conduct. At least one was also charged with assaulting a police officer. 13 of them are from Michigan; three live in Ohio.
Police responded at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday to Cedar Point Commons, which is the park employees' housing area.
The park reopened Monday after being closed Saturday and Sunday due to a water main break in the city of Sandusky.
Holder’s people, methinks. Danged Amish, just can’t behave themselves.
Just another skirmish in the Toledo strip war.
Forget it Jake, its Toledo.
Last time I was there, a lot of the park employees were eastern European kids of some sort.
Not to mention the poor b@stards named Jarrett, Joshua, Galen, Brandon, Curtis, James, Rick and Sterling.
Poor kids.
Euclid Beach, wow I went there as a kid.
Like many things in Cleveland, it’s only a memory now.
Yes, it’s the best roller coaster park anywhere. We used to go every summer when I first got married. Been at least a decade since I’ve been now. Still have an old “Millennium Force” t-shirt somewhere.
Euclid Beach! It was SO MUCH better than Cedar Point...The Thriller, Racing Coasters, Over the Falls and the Flying Turns...I still have dreams about riding them with my Dad.
And there were trees to sit under when it got hot and the frozen custard was to die for.
Cedar Point was just concrete, mediocre rides and crappy food.
If Obama had sons...
You probably know they’ve added a lot of new stuff since your last visit. Prices are up a bit, but still a bargain in my view, and you can still grab a beer at a few places in the park, including the saloon in Frontier. :)
Those days are behind me now. The wife has back problems and the roller coaster gene somehow skipped a generation with my daughter.
It was fun, though.
If you want a good look at the fine folks involved,go to www.sanduskyregister.com.I’m sure they were just upset because choir practice ran a bit late.
Cashia may have career opportunities on Wall Street or at the Federal Reserve.
Nome sayin?
I loved the Fun House at Euclid Beach. The sinning tunnel,, the spinning floor disks! And the guy blowing girls skirts up? Bwaaaa! That guy would be arrested today!
He's only a letter away from a future in the mustard business.
Aggravated usually means with a weapon, or some aggravating circumstance like that.
If not for the police’s quick response it might have turned into a full-blown brouhaha.
yeah, the dash don’t be silent
Thirteen of those arrested were from Michigan, only three were from Ohio. It appears they had something else in common. ;)
I worked there when I was in college, met my husband there. :)
