Hello from CT... I spent my Memorial Day weekend with my Grand kids (all under 6)in the garden, planting tomatoes and variety of veggie seeds and flowers. I loved how much they loved what they were doing, pulling weeds, shaking the dirt off, mixing the soil and digging holes. It was magical because they loved it so much, and we found a bunch of carrots and onions up from last year which they thought was the coolest thing in the whole wide world! I didn't offer to pay them for working with me, but when I looked and saw how much they did, how much they really helped (well, except for the little guy but I could not leave him out), I gave them each $5 for their hard work! Best $15 I have spent in ages! Can't wait until everything starts to come up, should be good fun this year!

What a great way to spend Memorial Day. Our grand children are all grown expcept one. She is entering puberty (sigh) and has no interest in the garden anymore-just electronic games. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!
