Saturday morning my daughter Caitlin was thrown from her horse. She landed badly on hard ground breaking her right thumb and her left shoulder. The top of the humerus is broken off and twisted behind.
The surgery is scheduled for noon central time. It is expected to be a day surgery.
With God's help, she and all of us will get through this quickly. She is in good spirits. She is a tough barrel racer, but she is only 13.

Doc came out. Caitlin is good. 4 temp pins, sticking at of her skin. No work done on the thumb, it will be fine in the splint. She will be in recovery for another hour.
