The bloodsuckers will put a run on the bank to buy this mansion ...

Been there! Must see if you are in Romania—the beauty of the Carpathian Mountains is akin to our Black Hills.

I bet that would be really creepy to be in there alone at night.

The nicest part of donating blood (aside from the juice and cookies afterwards, plus the occasional free T-shirt): those lovely reclining chairs!

"there are bathrooms for visitors, but the ones in the residential part of the castle were destroyed when the castle fell under the control of the communist Ceaușescu regime." An 80 million dollar fixer-upper.

Nice crib. I’d insist on indoor plumbing, though. And a rumpus room with a wide-screen TV. And a nice, friendly, soundproof dungeon where I could torture my enemies before I made them disappear. Oh, and a breakfast nook too. I like breakfast nooks.

Wonder if they serve Im-Pale Ale?

My Sister and Brother-in-Law were there last year. They sent me a lot of pics of Dracula’s birthplace and of his castle. The one they visited didn’t really look like that one.
Interestingly it was on top of a hill and they had a John Deere tractor pulling a trailer full of tourists up to the castle.

You can take the fridge and water softener, but the impalement pikes stay or it’s no deal!

It's been for sale for years. It was for sale when Tony Bourdain went through the area, spreading his version of the 4 horsemen.

The quiet nights and Cognac in front of giant fireplaces would be nice, and walks in the woods on foggy nights with a few friends, talking and imagining, while having candlelit midnight picnics and red wine, as the wolves howl.
I don’t see how the super rich resist these kinds of temptations, it must be how they get rich.

For a minute there I thought you were referring to the White House.
Plenty of blood suckers abound in that residence.

Yup, wind howling in the eaves outside, somewhere in the distance the howl of a wolf, then the single candle gutters out leaving only the moon to light your room as the door slowly creaks opens to reveal a sinister figure:

Vlad the Impaler did a pretty good job fighting the Muzzies back during his time.
