For all you talk radio fans, driven nuts by the Kars-4-Kids, anti-bullying, starving kids, etc etc etc PSA ads: what are your least favorite, most hated of these sadistic brain-assaults?

“especially the ones narrated by snotty liberal smarter than us women and light in the loafers sounding men.”

That includes about all of them. The men, BTW, as often as not, have a distinct undercurrent of something intangible in their voice that just tells me pedophilia is a big part of their make-up . . . not that there’s anything wrong with that . . . .

BTW, I guess you’re aware by now that a mind is a terrible thing to waste. Your tax dollars and charitable giving - not so terrible, it seems.

The non-24 disease commercial that states “you don’t here this on the radio very often” and then they play it at the front and back end of the commercial break, or just repeat it after it has just aired.

After the age-related results have been determined, I’d say around 4.5

It’s not a PSA but those Subaru radio adds with the too hip to talk louder than a mumble actors drive me crazy.

Ok, I had to tell someone...

You pegged the one about the ‘starving kids’ ... One of the early spots with the youngster whining- “There’s enough food in this country to feed EVERYBODY!” was particularly annoying (not that it’s the kid’s fault, he’s reading off a script).

Now there are more & more celebrities joining in, telling us how kids are dying of hunger like flies. I wish these people would get it right, though – do we have a child obesity problem in America, or are they NOT getting fed enough ??

Is that the one with a psychologist woman that starts off, “I’ll never forget the day my son said he hated me, and slammed the door in my face.”

That's the one. And the companion ad where she's talking stern to the brat ...."Son, you will not disrespect me....from now on there will be consequences..." Pathetic.

The ONE THAT DRIVES ME CRAZY is the stupid National Guard commercial that starts out with a young lady saying, "I remember the day..."

followed by another idiot, "I remember the day..."

followed by a third douche, "I remember the day.." then they talk about a house collapsing and they get a humvee and get a family out.

It's the same thing as showing a combined USMC task force assault by air/sea that has boxes of "AID" on it.. like you're going to assault a position and force those sons of bitches to take the "AID" or we're going to blow your sh#t up. bwahahahaha.

So pathetically politically correct.

How about showing some of the national guard pulling patrol duty outside the wire in Iraq or Afghanistan....or better yet show some of what the National Guard had to do in Korea when they got called up.

You'll wish you had hurricane or flood duty when some mortars are incoming.

Ugggh.. end of rant. I just hear that commercial every frickin morning and afternoon.

Yeah that was it. It was the sterotypical stuffy old boss, of course, conservative, sexist, racist and homophobic (”uh, he’s a bit light in the loafers”)

Got to agree about the Non-24 thing: the new kid on the block, so they’re gonna drill it in. Three different people now, all of whom seem to imply that I should give a rap about them and their disorder by donating some money or time or something - as if my frequent, extravagant donations of used cars to the Heritage for the Blind 1800 number aren’t enough yet!

Currently, the starving kids one irritates me. Somewhere between 14 million and 17 million, depending on which ad.

I sincerely doubt that. Any person or family can go to any state welfare/human services office and get an initial allotment of food stamps/EBT. Additonally, schools have special meals breakfasts and meals for disadvantaged.

Maybe, those ads are referring to the millions who are starving because their schools try to adhere to the new Michelle Obama diets.

Also, the ‘gigantic love’ singsong and the gal in the AT&T commercials.

I hit mute or turn the channels when those come one.

For all you talk radio fans, driven nuts by the Kars-4-Kids...

Bingo! A jingle which must be played 42,000 times per day on the local talk station. A jingle which I now find so cringe-inducing that when I hear it come on the radio I flip the radio off. Sometimes I don't remember to flip the radio back on. I'd say that's a very bad commercial for the station to run.

Is that the one with a psychologist woman that starts off, “I’ll never forget the day my son said he hated me, and slammed the door in my face.” My mind always answers, “Well, I see his point.”

HA! HA! I thought I was the only one, only I say to myself, “Lady, I don’t even know you and I hate you”.

While the earlier ads didn’t say so, it only gave the website address (http://www.non-24.com/), it is actually an ad for some sort of new pharmaceutical drug that helps blind people who have blindness related circadian rhythm disorders.

I’m guessing the chose to spend their advertising dollars on radio rather than on TV since I would presume a lot more blind people listen to the radio than “watch”, i.e. listen to the TV. But yes, I hear it several times on my car radio and it is annoying. I hate that they make it sound like a PSA when it is an ad.

“You can’t see me because I’m on the radio, and I can’t see you because I’m totally blind.”

Besides which, giving cars to blind people endangers everyone.
