IMPORTANT Primary Senate Races Left: And How You Can Help

Posted on 05/07/2014 9:09:59 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

There are still several important Senate Primary Races left! And places where we can WIN! PLEASE contribute! And if you can't contribute money.. the least we can do is go to their pages and give them a "like" or a tweet.

Oklahoma:

Endorsed by: Sarah Palin, Mike Lee, Mark Levin, Senate Conservatives Fund.

TW Shannon - - FACEBOOK - - TWITTER - - DONATE

Shannon was most recently Speaker of the House in Oklahoma. As Speaker, Shannon led some of the most Conservative sessions in Oklahoma history.

Oklahoma passed an immigration law tougher than Arizona. Oklahoma defunded the arts. Oklahoma restricted abortions. Oklahoma cut the budget and cut taxes. Oklahoma passed open carry. Oklahoma voted not to participate in Obamacare.

T.W. Shannon is the former Speaker of the House in the Oklahoma legislature. He was elected by his Republican colleagues as the youngest and first African American House Speaker. He's also been called "the most conservative Speaker in State History." T.W. Shannon believes that government programs create a cycle of dependency that robs people of their dignity and traps them in generational poverty. If he's elected to the Senate, he will be a powerful voice for freedom.

Mississippi:

Endorsed by: Sarah Palin, Mike Lee, Mark Levin, Senate Conservatives Fund.

Chris Mcdaniel - - FACEBOOK - - TWITTER - - DONATE

Chris McDaniel is a constitutional conservative who will fight to stop Obamacare, balance the budget, and get America working again. Chris McDaniel is not part of the Washington establishment and he has the courage to stand up to the big spenders in both parties. He's a principled leader who will make Mississippi proud.

Kentucky:

Endorsed by: Sarah Palin, Mike Lee, Mark Levin, Senate Conservatives Fund.

Matt Bevin - - FACEBOOK - - TWITTER - - DONATE

Matt Bevin is a constitutional conservative who will fight to stop the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that are destroying our country. He isn't afraid to stand up to the Washington establishment and he will do what it takes to stop Obamacare, cut spending, and get the government off our backs. Matt Bevin is an exceptional candidate. He's principled, passionate, and has Ted Cruz-like courage.

Nebraska:

Endorsed by: Sarah Palin, Mike Lee, Mark Levin, Senate Conservatives Fund.

Ben Sasse - - FACEBOOK - - TWITTER - - DONATE

Ben Sasse is a strong conservative with a proven record of solving difficult problems. He's an expert on health care policy and will help repeal Obamacare and enact free-market health care policies that lower costs and increase quality. There are other good candidates in this race, but Ben Sasse stands above the rest. He's smart, principled, and he's not afraid to tackle tough issues.

Iowa:

Endorsed by: Sarah Palin, Mike Lee, Mark Levin, Senate Conservatives Fund.

Joni Ernst - - FACEBOOK - - TWITTER - - DONATE

Joni Ernst is a state senator and a Lt. Colonel in the Iowa Army National Guard. She's also a mom to three daughters and a grandmother to six grandchildren. Joni Ernst believes that Washington politicians have ignored the Constitution and abandoned the principles that make America great. If elected to the U.S. Senate, Joni Ernst will fight to cut wasteful spending, repeal Obamacare, and balance the budget.

I don’t know. Curbelo’s leftism should be hammered. He is out of step on social issues in a Catholic Conservative district.

Curbelo is pro-fag, boo on him. But I don’t know if Rivera or any other Republicans are capable of beating him.

I think that stopping Curbelo may be worthwhile, but nominating David Rivera would be sheer lunacy; the guy got absolutely clobbered by Garcia in 2012, and (whether we like it or not) he still has the stench of corruption.. I’d much rather that we nominated Palomares-Starbuck or Martinez.

Yeah I don’t see Rivera winning, the primary or general. DJ thought he might have a chance though.

I’m thinking Martinez, he’s a name politician. I haven’t seen a recent poll but I’d guess he’s in 2nd place behind Curbelo (his own polling from late last year had him ahead of Curbelo). I don’t think we should give up and just let Curbelo win.

A new poll would be very helpful for this one.

Can someone post what state this Riviea/Curbelo is in? Don’t assume everyone knows these races like you folks do. There have been about 15 posts without mentioning the state/district. You should start every post with that info.

I meant to post links to the House Primary threads. These are works in progress ... we haven’t put up California yet ... and 2 of the Michigan races are going to be removed.

Clemmer, Conrad and French answered questions on immigration. I was happiest with the response Clemmer gave focussing on the people who hire illegals. One guy promised to hire a bureaucrat to secure the border in 18 months and then he gets fired. The other guy wanted Obama to talk more to the Governors like Perry.

Remember how David Rivera “suspended” his House comeback bid in FL-26 on July 11? Well, he’s “unsuspended” his campaign now that early voting has started: http://www.miamiherald.com/2014/08/11/4284581/with-beginning-of-early-voting.html

If Rivera wins the nomination, his purported corruption (and his connection to corrupt individuals), not Joe Garcia’s liberal voting record (and corruption, to boot), will become the focus of the election. Not only that, Rivera has reported raising only $11,000, compared to $2,732,000 for Garcia. We need to reclaim that seat this November, and Rivera isn’t going to get it done. It seems like all the Miami GOP money has gone to Carlos Curbelo, and while Curbelo does not appear to be as conservative as one would hope for (while the CD only gave Romney 46%, it is far more Republican downballot), I don’t think any of the other candidates would have the resources to defeat Garcia. (The only other GOP candidate who has raised as much as $100,000 is Cutler Bay Mayor MacMacDougall, but an Anglo from Cutler Bay isn’t going to beat a Cuban-American incumbent in that district, where 69% of the voting-age population is Hispanic.)

Pulling a Ross Perot eh? WTH Joe? He sounds detached from reality.

Curbelo is for queer marriage and that sickens me, but the other candidates just aren’t competitive, least of all Rivera. Curbelo is still probably to the right of Ros-Lehtinen.

I’m surprised Martinez has such anemic fundraising. He also hasn’t posted a news update on his website since May (endorsement of Dan Burton), only tweets. Starbuck as well, last update was in May. It’s hard to even take them seriously, MacDougal is the only one that seems to be trying.

I’d hate to see Garcia get entrenched in that seat, having a member in Congress is very good for Cuban-American rats.

And Dan Burton endorsed Starbuck, not Apollo Martinez.

There’s been a GOP debate in FL-26.

http://www.miamiherald.com/2014/08/22/4303873/miami-gop-congressional-candidates.html

Rivera declined to attend, whatever Dave.

ALL the candidates except for Martinez voiced support for gay marriage. Martinez says the states should decide, he would oppose it for Florida, but does support civil unions.

When asked if “sea levels are rising”, all said yes but Martinez who said “I’m not exactly sure. (Dammit,) I’m (a politician) not a scientist, Jim.” He went on to say there is “climate change”.

When ask if illegal immigrants are criminals, which they are according to the dictionary, Curbelo said “No, these are hard-working people that care about this country”. The other 3 said “yes”.

MacDougall was blasted for living outside the district, he blamed the lame map and said he lives closer to the center of the district than anyone else. Curbelo made a silly comparison “By the Constitution, someone that lives in the Panhandle can run for this district. That doesn’t mean it’s right.”

I saw the article the other day. You’d think it was a Democrat debate. Partly why I endorsed Rivera.

Sounds like these candidates were confused and thought they were competing in a RAT party debate.
