There are still several important Senate Primary Races left! And places where we can WIN! PLEASE contribute! And if you can't contribute money.. the least we can do is go to their pages and give them a "like" or a tweet.

T.W. Shannon is the former Speaker of the House in the Oklahoma legislature. He was elected by his Republican colleagues as the youngest and first African American House Speaker. If he's elected to the Senate, he will be a powerful voice for freedom.

He's principled, passionate, and has Ted Cruz-like courage.

Haha I didn’t Hurd was Black either, I guess I never visited his website. Anyhow, why are some people supporting him? Easy, most voters don’t think about who’s more electable in the general election or at least aren’t fully aware of what makes a candidate electable.
An example, Anglo moonbat ***hole Alan Grayson, running in 2012 in a new Hispanic district with a good rat margin. The only way we have a chance is is with a strong, locally popular, Hispanic Republican. What luck, one runs! State Rep. John Quinones. Is he nominated? No. He badly lost to some Anglo radio talk show host.
Anyway, it would be nice to get another Black Republican elected but I have trouble seeing a non-Hispanic Republican beat a Hispanic rat in TX-23.
Perhaps because Babin is from White's neck of the woods, White has endorsed him. So I guess he wouldn't run against him. It's a shame that little weasel Stockman screwed everyone over in a lame attempt to get his staffer's wife or whoever it was, nominated in his place.
MI-11: Trott doesn’t only have a shot, the smart money has him winning
IA-1: I don’t think we’re gonna win that seat.
IA-4, Young switched from the Senate race. He was Grassley’s COS. He seems like the “GOPE” choice.
Shaw boasts the support of former Rep. Greg Ganske and Steve King’s brother (Steve King has a brother I guess)
Senate Conservatives Fund’s (DeMint, I like SOME of their picks) House Fund Supports Schultz as does Rick Santorum.
Zaun has poor fundraising.
That’s a key defense seat.
MN-6 Getting the party endorsement usually means victory in Minnesota,
WV-2 Mooney, definitely , as discussed on the other thread.
If Mooney gets the nomination in WV-02 and Hurd wins the runoff in TX-23, the GOP will have nominated a Hispanic in WV-02 (which is 1% Hispanic) but not in TX-23 (which is like 63% Hispanic).
“Perhaps because Babin is from White’s neck of the woods, White has endorsed him. So I guess he wouldn’t run against him. It’s a shame that little weasel Stockman screwed everyone over in a lame attempt to get his staffer’s wife or whoever it was, nominated in his place.”
Well, it seems I made a goof in what I said in post #28. That happens when I don’t make a routine check of facts. I ascribed negative comments towards State Sen. Jim Tracy in accusing him of not stepping up to run against Lincoln Davis in 2010. It’s because he was not running in the 4th at the time, he was running in the 6th.
I forgot that he entered the open race for Bart Gordon’s seat, which ended up a wild nearly 3-way tie between him, State Sen. Diane Black & Lou Ann Zelenik. Only 590 votes separated between Tracy (3rd place) and Black (the winner). The battle really erupted between Black & Zelenik (I endorsed Zelenik) and there were enormously bad feelings between the two that led to a lawsuit. Tracy almost emerged the winner as a result.
The lines have since been shifted after 2012, and Tracy is now within the 4th and is running for this seat against DesJarlais. My apologies to Sen. Tracy for accusing him of not stepping up to run in a district he wasn’t in in 2010.
FL-26, Curbelo is a left-winger on social issues. That is a no-go. I’d rather go with the former occupant of the seat, David Rivera, who was never guilty of any criminal wrongdoing.
Well, remember, Grayson was scared at facing Quinones, so he dumped money into advocating the White guy for the GOP nomination over Q, and we see how that turned out.
That reminds me of how Mike Rounds won the SD gubernatorial primary in 2002.
Oh did he, I don’t remember that, or never heard it.
A shame it worked so well, I remember some freepers celebrating Todd Long’s primary win.
Rivera $00
Martinez 67k 50k
MacDougall 160k 43k
Starbuck 103k 39k
Curbelo 800k
Rivera just got in. If he is the nominee, can he win the seat?
The current occupant of the seat, Garcia, is as corrupt as Rivera was accused of being (and wasn’t). I expect the GOP to take the seat back, regardless. Rivera will still have to start raising $$ tout de suite.
Conserve55, are you up to doing all the formatting and doing threads for the House primaries?
I need a quick ruling on whether to include Rivera vs Curbelo. Curbelo looks unbeatable and I wouldn’t argue to anyone to expect it to be close. Any rebuttal?
