In TX-36, I’d prefer Streusand, at least partly because I think that he would just keep the seat warm for when James White runs in 2016 (Babin is from the same area as White and might block his nomination).

Perhaps because Babin is from White's neck of the woods, White has endorsed him. So I guess he wouldn't run against him. It's a shame that little weasel Stockman screwed everyone over in a lame attempt to get his staffer's wife or whoever it was, nominated in his place.

If White wouldn’t run against Babin in 2016, then it makes Streusand the clear choice in the runoff. Stockman didn’t switch to the Senate race (after having filed for reelection to the U.S. House and insisting he wouldn’t run for the Senate) until the final day of filing, and since White had filed for reelection to the state house he couldn’t run for the suddenly open House seat (TX law extended the filing period for the House seat, but only for those who hadn’t filed for another office). Real bushleahue (Paulite?) move. So electing James White to the TX-36 is my only concern, and if Babin’s election would make that more difficult then I will support his primary opponent.
