For the baseball fan who loves history, this is pretty awesome. From Dawson City Museum and Historical Society Collection as well as Library and Archives Canada comes some actual video footage of the notorious 1919 World Series (or the "world's series" as it was known at the time) between the Chicago White Sox and Cincinnati Reds.
It's difficult to tell what exactly in happening in several portions of the video and there is no audio, but that's not really what it's all about, is it?
Check this out:

Great stuff.
Seasoned baseball minds know immediately the story of the 1919 World Series. That was the series of the Black Sox Scandal, in several White Sox players were paid off to throw the series and the result was eight of them -- including, most famously, Shoeless Joe Jackson -- were banned from baseball for life.
The Reds won the series five games to three (yes, the world's series was a nine-gamer back then).

Thanks. It wasn’t there when I searched and started posting my links.
A pleasure to watch, really. In a couple of the frames, one can see the player(s) still adjusting their packages.
And, the “Aero-Cameraman” substitution for today’s blimp borne panoramas is neat, too.
I know B&W doesn’t do color any justice at all, but it seemed to me that quite a bit of the crowd wore white shirts.....
And . . . it’s a different article. Surprisingly, “Watch rare video footage” didn’t turn up your article.

very cool
Methinks John Logie Baird didn't show off his invention for another seven years. Yes, I nitpick, but they didn't TAPE the Hindenberg Disaster, either.
Good catch (no baseball-related humor intended).
Oh, thank you for posting this!!! I’m a bb fan but my husband is a complete nutcase. (In his spare time, he writes academic papers on bb stats!) Anyway, my husband will LOVE this!! Thanks.
Much higher percentage of smokers back then! (Opening scenes).
