THE SIEGE OF the Waco compound belonging to the religious group Branch Davidians by the US military and police took place between 28 February and 19 April 1993. The Branch Davidians was a sect that separated from the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1955 and were led by David Koresh. In the run up to the siege, a local newspaper had printed a series of stories about the cults leader Koresh, stating that he had physically abused children in the compound and had committed statutory rape by taking multiple underage brides. Koresh, an advocate for polygamy was married to several women from the cults community. It was also believed that the cult was stockpiling weapons.

I just don’t know why everyone had to follow David Koresh. I mean they acted like he was the Son of God or something. Cults are not particularly good to belong to especially the ones that make you lose contact with family and friends.
That certainly explains why the feral government murdered them.
Waco was my epiphany.
Mine too.
It’s ok if you can get away with it. See Bengazi.
It was my ‘JFK where where you’ moment. I was eating lunch with my boss with the radio on.
I didn’t know Holder was involved until fairly recently.
I think it could have easily stopped if David Koresh would have talked with authorities. I don’t remember much of the story, but communication is a good thing for the living. Not so much for the dead.
If you read the accounts, court testimony, etc. you would see how wrong you are.
Terrible, terrible....but we made it worse. Sooner or later, they would have run out of supplies.
I could not bear to watch the video past the point where one our our military’s TANKS is shown “engaging” the structure of the compound.
A more egregious outlandish act against Americans would be hard to imagine.
You ain't seen nothing yet.
at present....we have millions with camera phones and internet connections...willing to record any and all flashpoints...
how long this will be the case remains to be seen.
“I think it could have easily stopped if David Koresh would have talked with authorities.”
He did. He invited the Sheriff in just days before who went and spoke with David. What more do you want? How much are we supposed to beg our government not to attack us?
This was all over a $200 tax stamp for weapons. $200 bucks and we’re supposed to beg not to be attacked?
Mine as well...
Especially after the Congressional hearing that whitewashed the entire corrupt evil mass murder done by the Clinton administration...
Wrong? All I said is communication is a good thing. Did they try to talk with authorities? I am not going to rehash this because I don’t have that much interest in the story. The only thing I believe is that cults tend to be a bad place and that communication is important for all sides.
This was all over a $200 tax stamp for weapons.
Did they feel they shouldn’t have paid the 200 dollars? I mean it was Texas so I am sure that the tax was probably as conservative as possible.
I have no idea why this idiot is allowed to stay.
