Your Favorite Biblical Movie?
Posted on 04/18/2014 8:41:31 PM PDT by MNDude
There are lots of Biblical Movies coming out this year (Son of God, Noah), but I don't think many compare to some of the older ones (like Ten Commandments, Passion of the Christ).
What is your favorite Biblical movie?

The best directed, best script, best acting - The Ten Commandments.
Don't know why they can't do a New Testament movie with the same panache. Hope to do one someday.

Obviously an Old Fart (like me) who appreciates good movies. I would add Ben-Hur to that list.

I saw “The Robe” when I was a small kid in Panama City Florida. Our entire family thought it was really good.
It also had a good sequel in “Darius and the Gladiators”.

My favorites are The Ten Commandments (1923) and Ben Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925)

While technically not a Bible movie, “A Man Called Peter” was really good. The actor who portrayed Peter Marshall, was a real WWII war hero, tho a British one.

Here are some of the words.
Build Your kingdom here
Let the darkness fear
Show Your mighty hand
Heal our streets and land
Set Your church on fire
Win this nation back
Change the atmosphere
Build Your kingdom here
We pray

I guess “Ben Hur”, the one with Charlton Heston was the best tho “Ten Commandments” was right up there.
