A local Highway patrolman said he writes 300 tickets a day at a wide spot in the road where it goes suddenly from 60mph to 35 mph. A developer told me the county code enforcement office, which staffed up for the housing bubble, hasn’t laid a soul off. The boss told them, “if you want to keep your jobs go out there and write fines.” So, he said they write him $3,000 in fines for every $100,000 in building value. He just prices it in.

WOW!!! Lemme see, for an 8 hr shift mmmm 300/8 = 37.5 tickets per hour which is 60/37.5 = writing one ticket every 1.6 minutes. This LEO is a ticket writing machine!
Highly questionable. 24 hrs x 60 min = 1440 min/day.
1440min/300 tickets = 1 ticket every 4.8 minutes and presumes a 24 hour shift. In an 8 hr shift, he'd have to average well under 2 minutes per ticket.
Math is the enemy of a good internet yarn...
