Ah, Zatoichi....IFC used to run these on Saturday morning.
did it hurt when it did haunt you? ;)
sorry for the typo
Was one of my favorite Saturday morning programs, until they took it off IFC and started putting on reruns of the Three Stooges.
When once you turn to the blind side, forever will it control your destiny.
I used to watch it on IFC too. Haven’t seen it in years. Just about the right amount of humor mixed in with totally unbelievable sword fights.
It was good entertainment.
i used to watch them all the time on IFC, then IFC went commercial and now it is crap.
There was even a version with a female Ichi
8~)
Yeah that stuff is great. Those stiffs at IFC never leave well enough alone, although I dig the stooges too. I recall one of them where he is fighting his big fight through a snow storm in a village at night, just looked fantastic. I think it was late 60s or 70s, it was in colour.
Freegards
I used to love his directional swiveling ears.
But he also used to dig and eat his boogers.
Worth a sword ping? Dunno, since it won’t let me watch it on my mobile.
Anyway...
So they went edumakshunal on you?
The movies are on Hulu.
No blood to be found.
No severed body parts seen.
Yet all who fall, die.
At least while watching Ichi I was picking up a little Japanese here and there. LOL!
