Can you get Leroy Hill coffee where you live? It is higher octane than most. The company moto is: “It’ll get you going” It is produced in Mobile Al and has a great taste, but is a premium product, so it cost a bit more, but worth it. It’s all I ever drank for years until I went decafe.

I’m living like a bachelor today, no pups. They left with mama looking like sheep, and will return looking like Poodles. I’m glad I dont have to clip Gracie, she does not like to be held by anyone for any reason. This will be her second grooming.

It got down to 42 here, which is just where I thought it would, 39 at the airport. It was forecast 38, but it never gets as extreme as my forecaster says.

I’m going back to bed for some more comatosing. Back was hurting again last night, so I am wired to the TENS unit today for some electrocution therapy. I’ll be glad to get back to my normal, I’m tired of being sick every day and not knowing why.

I woke up at 4am, and the temp was 41..Woke up at 7:45, and the temp was 32..How did that happen? I don’t think it was freezing long enough to kill my impatiens in the front. I will kick myself for not covering them if they froze.

It’s 9:41 am and temp in garden is 48. Don’t know what it was during night. rightly, glad it didn’t get into 30s for you.

Johnny hasn’t checked in yet, so wonder if it got to 33 as was forecasted for Dallas.

sockmonkey, you got to 32. So glad you covered plants.

The sun is shining so it should warm up fairly quickly for now, then have to get through tonight.

Johnny, after I transplanted the tobacco into new pots and new potting soil mix, a few leaves on each plant turned yellow fast and wilted and died. I took those off the plants. What happened?

The early leaves, low down, tend to wilt and color pretty fast anyway. I wouldn't worry about it. Hang them up somewhere with a hook made from a paper-clip and let them dry slowly.

I don't know exactly how cold it got last night. I do know I lost some stuff. I'll know more in a day or two, to see what comes back. I may have lost 20-30% of the tender plants in the big garden. We'll see.

A lot of stuff came through without a problem, so I'm hopeful.

Me, too. but the top leaves, which also had hail damage on the T squash look rather droopy. Hope they perk up. It is sunny, kinda windy, but looks to be a beautiful day. Impatiens look okay so far.

FWIW. I grew up being told that tomatoes could handle it if the temps dipped to 28 for less than three hours. In my old age, I didn't want to test what I was told in my youth.

Between hail, and freezing, I hope that all the Peaches in Fredericksburg didn't take a hit.

“Hang them up somewhere with a hook made from a paper-clip and let them dry slowly.”

No leaves are large enough to do anything. When the leaves wilted, they just wasted away, sort of melted. The plants are not big, maybe seven inches for the longest leaves, most six inches and less. “Wilt” is the best word to describe what they did.

Hope you didn’t lose much. I’m not looking under the blankets until tomorrow as I can’t do anything about their condition now.

Thanks for the post! The company is based in Mobile, AL. The furthest I drive into AL is Florence in the NW corner, so if there’s no place close that I can buy it, I’ll just order it online. Their tea sounds interesting, too. I’m no gourmet, but I really need a jumpstart in the AM’s lol!

Oh, I emailed them. If no response, I’ll phone them and try a can. If it works, we’ll order in quantity. Thanks again and I hope the TENS unit works and you feel better soon.

Temps are always lower a little while before daylight. Right now that’s around 6am to 7am at our house.

They used to be in Walmart, but maybe not that far north. It’s never been cheap, but is good. It’s all I ever bought till I gave up caffeine. I don’t drink any coffee now for for maybe 20 years.

I got along OK in retirement on one or two cups of coffee per day until I started having to stay awake. Must’ve developed tolerance or they’re extracting all the caffeine from normal coffee and funneling it elsewhere? Anyway, we’re gonna give it a try. Will look in Wal Mart next time we’re there.

I had a high tolerance for a long time when I drank coffee regularly.

It used to come in blue bag for original blend and gold bag for another flavor. Lots of offices seemed to like the gold bags where their service trucks had the coffee accounts.

Here’s the email response to question of whether or not there are stores that sell LHC near my zipcode: “I am sorry but there are not.” Therefore, off to order online. :)

Well,I hope you enjoy it. Everyone’s taste is different, therein lies the problem of recommending stuff. If you don’t like it, pm me and I will refund your money. How’s that for a deal?

I see it has gotten pricier. I think I used to pay $3.50 lb bag, then 14oz bags, now they are 10oz bags. It sounds like it cost as much as my wife’s Kurig coffee cups.

I think I will stick to Southern Sweet Tea, decaf, of course.

I think if I was going to drink coffee, I would think about growing some. I have a friend whose FIL is a coffee farmer in Central America. They might would send seeds.

Have a great day.

When you go into Florence Al, do you ever eat at Famous Dave’s BBQ? Back when I was traveling the country, I spent a few weeks there. The Famous Dave’s had all you can eat ribs and sides on Tues nights for about $13 or so. Best ribs I ever had. They brought my plate and I picked up the first ribs and all I got was a bone in my fingers, all the tender meat was laying on the plate! Weeks later, after getting home for some R&R, I grabbed up the family and headed to N.Alabama and of course I timed it to be at Famous Daves on Tuesday night. They only had 5 restaurants then, they have many now. I dont know if they are still that good or not.

No, we’ve never been there but will be sure to try it next time we go! We won’t be deprived in the meantime, though—Mr. Sg makes scrumptious BBQ!

Lol, I'm sure we'll like it! I have doubts about its being able to keep me alert, though. It's certainly worth a try!

Have you used your TENS unit? Here's hoping you feel better!

I use the TENS quite a bit. It’s the best $20 I have spent in a while. It will light you up if you’re not careful with the settings. It really relaxes muscles if they are being irritated by some minor but painful injury.

Wow, you’re up late! I’m starting to fade. Hopefully, the puppy will sleep for a while after this last bottle. Good night and sweet dreams!
