The makers of Honey Maid graham crackers have come up with a unique response to anti-gay backlash by some against its commercial featuring two gay dads and their family. They printed out the negative comments and turned them into a piece of art that spells out Love.
On March 10, Mondelez International, which manufactures the popular crackers under the Nabisco brand, launched its This is Wholesome advertising campaign. The commercial features several different kinds of American families, including biracial and gay ones.
The commercial, which has more than 4.7 million hits on YouTube, starts off with the two dads huddled over their baby feeding a bottle. It then cuts to the two men walking. Following, that it features other families doing everyday things while enjoying Honey Maid crackers.
At the end of the 30-second spot, the two dads are again seen, this time in front of their house, posing with their baby and their other young son. A tagline accompanying the YouTube video reads, No matter how things change, what makes us wholesome never will.
Since the ad ran, the comments Mondelez has received have been overwhelmingly positive.
Honey Maid responds to anti-gay comments with new commercial
Beautiful commercial, one commenter wrote. A family is a family no matter what. Awesome job, Honey Maid. This is what the world is, people will just have to accept that and open their minds to it. It's a wonderful thing. Love is love.
However, the company did receive a fair share of negative comments.
Nothing like exploiting the gay community for some advertising and $, another person wrote. Keep your advertising where it belongs.

"Did you say Honey Maids?"
"No, I said, Honey--AIDS!!"
How do the 2 percenters warrant so much attention and successfully demand endorsement and promotion, well beyond mere acceptance.
I don’t use Facebook, but I would guess they reported your account. Maybe if enough people flag an account it is suspended. The gay community and its liberal allies are intolerant of any dissenting view, and they believe it’s okay because they are intolerant of intolerance.
I’m going to check it out. After I’m done with the shrimp cocktails and garlic toast for dinner.
(Fair warning!)(I’m generational-challenged and have no idea who Green Day is.)(But, I’m willing to learn.)
Thanks,
You've probably heard their song "I Hope You Had the Time of Your Life" at every single High School Graduation ceremony you've ever been to.
Because too many in government are increasingly unwilling to defend marriage as God defines it, it is time to return marriage to the private sphere where it came from. Gays can get married but will not be able to force others to approve of it, and will not be able to force others to serve and enable what God defines as sin. If liberals demand that we remove the Ten Commandments from any government venue, they cannot attempt to cling to one of the points of the Ten (marriage) in their attempt to destroy the values they put forth.
I don’t hate homosexuals. It is instructive that they think of me as their enemy. When we get government out of the marriage business, then we don’t have to go through a culture war to determine who gets to control government, and by which one side or the other will get to use government coercion to get our way in society. Maybe this also should demonstrate that a government big enough to decide this issue instead of leaving it as a private matter is a government that is too big.
See, that's the whole thing right there. They don't want tolerance, they want APPROVAL. They feel so completely threatened by people saying "we celebrate the marriage of a MAN and a WOMAN" and when they hear that, they go all to pieces.
It's like people who insist on wearing dirty clothes and not bathing feeling all upset over a bunch of people who say "we like being clean, and we like wearing nice clean clothes." Being clean is a choice.

You’re kidding-—they weren’t even a group when my kids graduated from high school.
Believe it or not, there WERE high school graduations way back then.
.
I know you’re trying to help but I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything at a HS graduation besides ‘Pomp & Circumstance’.
I was born in 1945 for Crissakes!
But, I’m going on the ‘net later and going to educate myself.
Wait a minute! Is Green Day an offshoot of Big Head Todd? I never him (them?) but I remember them on a marquee in Boulder back in ‘91.
(How can lefties like Crackers at all?)
Note that all of the members of your Death Panel are all out on the Left Coast.
""Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)"
Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go So make the best of this test, and don't ask why It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable, but in the end that's right, I hope you had the time of your life.
So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time Tattoos and memories and dead skin on trial Through what it's worth it was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable, but in the end that's right, I hope you had the time of your life.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end that's right, I hope you had the time of your life.

They want Oranges to be called Apples with no change in the term used to describe Apples.
Buggery is hate. But Nabisco has appeared to make it clear that this wasn’t a mere gaffe. It was on purpose.
It makes me wonder if companies like General Mills and Nabisco are facing financial troubles, and see a homosexual sell-out as a last-ditch attempt to prop up sales and get some free publicity.
Thanks for those lyrics, they are quite nice.
Maybe I’ll hear it at my grandaughter’s graduation in June.
.
This has been flown in the past and passed on because governments did get involved in marriage in the past, and why should a cherished tradition get trod upon?
But recently even Pope Francis alluded to an alternative official concept, that of household. It wouldn’t need to have anything to do with sex at all.
It would have to be done in earnest, however. NO government marriages of any kind any more. Now the atheists will scream.
I think they are afraid of the gaycott.

Nope.
Our DJ was warned if he ever played that song, he’ll get his ass kicked and his car burned.
