Sellers should never miss a sale. Were building tools so sellers can accept any form of payment their customers want to use. Making commerce easy means creating easy ways to exchange value for everything from a massage to a DODOcase for your iPad.

Contrast the cost per transaction of mining Bitcoin with Brinks trucks hauling fiat around. Armies of armed guards. The cost of climate controlled vaults to store fiat. The massive data centers running credit card fraud protection servers for financial centers. Identity theft, I could go on and on.
Blockchain technology renders all this obsolete. The “waste” you refer to enables the most secure network in the history of Man with endless possibilities. “Waste” ? Hardly.
Hey, if you believe Bitcoin is so great, I also have some old Enron stocks I think you’ll be interested in!
So I refute your argument and you devolve into stupidity.
I will repeat, Bitcoin and it’s underlying technology is the greatest breakthrough in computer science history.
Regardless of what you or I believe this technology is going to change our lives. The sooner you embrace that fact and educate yourself, the better off you’ll be.
Good luck with that.
Seriously, though, let history be your teacher. Go back and find some old forums where Fools pumped worthless internet stocks during that bubble. The arguments sound strikingly similar...
Okay , so your on the internet and your claim is that the internet was not a transformational technology? Is that correct? Please...
I think we are done here.
No, you myopic dimwit. I’m telling you that technology can be COOL all day and it will fail unless it generates actual, tangible value. (Or it is supported by donations such as this site.) The failed stocks of the tech boom all were representative of WAY COOL technology which were really representative of waste. The tech in itself didn’t have intrinsic value, so the stocks eventually reflected that by going to zero. I’m so sorry this is a difficult concept for you, but you’ll find yourself in the same position as those bag holders when the market realized they were trading value for something that had none.
Don’t lecture me on technology. I’ve been in IT for 25 years and have advanced to the executive level. I know a technological boondoggle when I see one.
Great, name calling. Whats next ? You gonna come over and beat me up?
“Ive been in IT for 25 years and have advanced to the executive level.”
If you had started off saying that you were a dinosaur perhaps I could have understood your perspective more clearly. Thanks for the clarification.
Later loser. Have fun getting fake rich with your play money that is the brainchild of the anarchist occupy wall street crowd. I’ll enjoy my *actual* wealth from my dinosaur ways.
And for the record, you two-bit hypocrite, you devolved to name calling first with your “stupidity” comment. Since you are unable to understand simple economics, I can understand how you’ll fail to understand this too.
Out.
Sir, If you are in IT and don’t understand what is transpiring you won’t be in it much longer.
