Disney's Oscar-winning Frozen has become the top-grossing animated film of all time, surpassing the $1.063 billion earned by fellow Disney/Pixar title Toy Story 3.
Frozen now occupies the No. 10 spot on the list of the biggest global blockbusters and is the first billion-dollar title from Disney Animation Studios. It has earned $398.4 million domestically and $674 million internationally for a total $1.072 billion.

Do you have a list adjusted for inflation?
I don’t think it’s idiocy, just a cozy relationship between the film industry and the media that covers it. Stories like these drive sales.
“Number one of all time? Then I better buy the DVD”.
Here ya go. http://www.the-movie-times.com/thrsdir/alltime.mv?adjusted+ByAG
And no surprise,
1. Gone With The Wind
2. Star Wars
3. Sound of Music
Top animation?
9. The Jungle Book
10. Snow White
12. 101 Dalmations
Yeah, thats always bugged me. Why not just count ticket sales? I guess because the desired result probably would not be achieved to create interest.
Actually, when one looks at the numbers adjusted for inflation, the story is correct. Jungle book was in at an adjusted 870 million.
Guess Disney’s looking for a little kick.
Adjusted, Frozen is at number 99.
Obviously the numbers for “Fritz the Cat” weren’t available. :>}
When adjusted for inflation, Gone With The Wind was the first billion dollar box-office draw. A blockbuster by any definition, and I can only image the Hollywood accountants must have been dancing with unbridled glee.
“Global warming agenda?”
You got it. Although it’s reversed using cold. But the point is made that in order to stop human-induced climate change great personal sacrifice is required.
You are entirely correct. The number of tickets sold, not the total price is more telling. What was the ticket price when Gone With The Wind came out vs what they are today?
Sorry Calling BS on your post. I have seen the movie. There is no Eco agenda in it. Simple story. Sometimes,If you are a hammer everything looks like a nail.
Lol! That is WAY to Subtle.
I have seen the movie too, and even I didn't detect that theme in it.
Maybe we should all just....

I love it. That put a smile on my face this morning. So true - lol!
We'll never get that today, thanks to modern ways to watch a movie at home (videocassettes since the early 1980's, DVD since 1997 and Blu-ray since 2006, along with legal downloads through iTunes and legal streaming sites like Netflix).
I had to listen to this chalkboard scratching movie on a bus filled with third graders on a field trip. The music is dreadful.
“Sorry Calling BS on your post. I have seen the movie.”
I’ve seen the movie too and I’m calling BS on your BS.
Please refute the movie’s premise that personal sacrifice was not required to restore the climate.
That is ~exactly~ the point Frozen makes. In fact it is the touchstone scene of the movie.
What sacrifice? Who died? Who, but the bad guy, lost anything? The Queen retained her title. The bad guy looking to cash in on the situation was dealt with. The good guys all lived happily ever after, and the snowman got his own personal biodome. Heck, even Sven got a new sleigh. The kindgom actually was better off having experienced the situation, as the gates were again open to commerce.
The sister suborning her own interest and shielding her sister from the rake’s sword is the sacrifice.
IOW, “in order to restore the climate we must place our own interests after others” which is pretty much what the AGW crowd preaches.
Also, how was the climate changed? By the unintentional actions of the princess. Like the petro giants she created the mess then fled to a castle built with her powers to avoid accountability.
