Alienware is over-priced Dell with cool LEDs and hipster-approved cases.
Alienware computers are NOT what they used to be. Used to be you paid a premium for one of their computers because they were built like tanks from the processor up, were faster than anything else you could buy off the shelf and were reliable.
Not anymore.

Agreed!
My work computer Alienware M17X10. Company paid $6,000 for every feature you could buy. It is the most unreliable PC I have ever had. Weighs a ton, have to do a system restore any time power adapter is removed when running and switches to batteries. Hard drive failed first year. I prefer my HP ProBook 4520 which was 25% of the cost and about 90% as fast as the mighty Alien. Hard to call it a laptop as its big and heavy., but does look cool.
