Had those on my old Oldsmobile Holiday 98! Creepy! Heard about it and checked my tires. Bubbles!
HAd them on two cars............Both had blowouts......................
One of the people who worked for me was a very knowledgeable car person. He was ahead of the curve on the Firestone 500 fiasco.
One day he asked me to come over to his vehicle, kneel down next to a tire and close my eyes and run my hand along a designated place on the tire. Then he asked me to describe what I felt. I told him it felt like BBs under the tire surface. He told me the 500 tires were defective and Firestone wouldn't make good on them.
He went back to Firestone had the 500s replaced with another tire.
When the bill came, he refused to pay it, and told Firestone to take him to court because he could show the 500s were defective.
Eventually the 500s got recalled. - Tom
