—I have more seeds than I could possibly ever plant or consume al the vegetables that would grow,—
I hear ya. I could open a seed store myself. One year, I started only seeds that I already owned. This year I bought 10 varieties of new seeds.
My paypal is acting up, I tried to buy cucuzza seeds, but paypal refused to co-operate. Maybe it’s best that I don’t. lol
Not really. Somebody more informed than I would be better. I would research each for a better understanding of what each does. I know that DE slices crawling bugs into pieces, so they die by moving through it. Bt, I believe is a poison, I have just became aware of it, Neem oil kills on contact, I think. I just haven’t had much trouble with bugs, so I am not the best person to answer that question. Maybe somebody else will read your post and chime in.
Just wait until I have internet restored on Wed. I’ll be back to my voluable self, and making tons of comments.;)

Unfortunately, my Paypal worked fine. I can send you some seeds when mine come if you like.
BT is bacillus thurengensis (sp). It's a bacteria that gives larva, tomato horn worms, etc, a bad stomach ache, and they croak.
BTW, Bacillus israeliensis (sp) is the stuff in those mosquito dunks that gives mosquito larvae/wigglers a stomach ache so they die.
You're missed, so it will be nice to have you back on Wednesday sharing your gardening, grandkids, and recipe stuff with us.
I went out this morning around 7:45 to where I tossed them, and I couldn't find the net bag..Could a racoon or possum snagged them? Are they under a smart pot under 15 gallons of soil? I will go look some more now that the sun is fully up. I am such a goober.
Thanks for the offer.
I just tried it again and everything went smooth as silk. On Friday, I will have cucuzza seeds.
I paid $1.15 with $2.50 shipping.
Thanks, I remember that now. My memory was the first thing to go, I forget what the second was.
I guess I was just too sorry to look it up again.
I’ll stick with T squash this year but who did you order the cucuzza from?
It will be good to have you back.
Reading 2 1/2 months of your post takes a while. I had to stop and read some that were not Garden thread comments.
Other than this thread, I don’t say much; I know that is hard to believe!
I ordered my cucuzza seeds from that same seller on ebay- into auroara. Hope we aren’t disappointed.
I did see one seller on ebay whose ebay store is called The Seed Shack, IIRC, who offers free shipping...LoL, yep, I should’ve ordered those multicolored carrots for .99 plus free shipping..
Sounds like something I’d do. Then, it winds up in the most surprising places. Or obvious.
I’m not sure if they eat onions, but I know for a fact they carry off poop bags (Gross Alert) DH was telling me 2 days ago that either the possum(s)- which we feed, or a raccoon kept carrying off the poop. Or just carrying it off & not eating. One time, he found the bag halfway under the overturned pond liner.
Hope you find ‘em.
Okay, the cucuzza seeds aren’t even here yet, and I’ve already found a recipe that uses cuccuzas, and can also be canned:

I am highly opinionated and obnoxious, so yes, I do post a lot. ;)

They look just like what my dad grew. Thank you for finding them.
Apparently, I need instruction on how to search. I spent hours searching for these one night last year, although I didn’t have a name to use. You found them in a heartbeat!
My dad made a metal frame work about 6’ high, and laid wooden slats across the frame work and planted at each upright support. I think it was 10’ x 20’ or something similar. Heck, I barely remember those days.
LOL
Lol, yesterday when I went to my Mom's I saw a metal bedframe you set the mattress on out for our City Wide Trash Pickup..I picked it up..I am now envisioning it being tansformed into a metal frame on wooden posts..or not.
I think one of those old mattress springs (you know, just the bare springs)..would look cool for that. I've seen those used that way with vines growing on them at the Shabby Chic/Country stores in Fredericksburg, TX.
BTW, when I did a search for cucuzzi, I typed in "Yard Long Squash" on an image search.. because you had described them as being really long, and a squash..
That sounds pretty hot. :)
