With the current situation in Russia, Putin, the KGB and relations with Obama reminds me of how there are many that believe WWII U.S. General George Patton was silenced for his criticism of the U.S. cooperation with the Russians at the end of the war.

I saw that movie. He was killed with a glorified air gun that shot a rivet-like projectile that snapped his neck.

The book, Soldiers of Misfortune, documents the large number of American servicemen that were abandoned and forgotten during WW II and the wars since. Many were imprisoned and died in slave labor camps. Most presidents since WW II have continued to sweep that under the rug.

Yet another conspiracy theory that I don’t believe.

But after a decade-long investigation, military historian Robert Wilcox claims that OSS head General "Wild Bill" Donovan ordered a highly decorated marksman called Douglas Bazata to silence Patton....

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I don't believe this. I'm no expert, but I've read a lot about Donovon, particularly involving OSS ops in southern China and Indochina during and just after WWII, and have encountered nothing that would raise to the level of this scurrilous charge.

But it's always been easier to attack the dead than the living.

While I don’t think he was and most probably it was an accident, T wouldn’t put it past the people in power at the time (on EITHER side), I mean we literally made a deal with the devil (Stalin) to help defeat a slightly lesser satan (Hitler)...

Alternate wacko tin foil hat conspiracy theory that couldn’t possibly be true:

GEN Patton died at the 130th Station Hospital in Heidelburg from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Mannheim.

Have a hard time believing it was anything

but an accident by a driver not paying attention.

That movie about Gen Pattons last days after

the accident was kinda hard to take, but very

well done.
