I just received a letter from the Veterans Administration. Included is VA form 10-10EZ, "Application for Health Benefits".
The form touts that once a veteran is signed up, the will have "met the new requirement to have health care coverage that meets the minimum standard".
If I already have TRICARE for life, why would i need it? Looking at the date they want, I can only come to one conclusion: TRICARE WILL BE DISMANTLED.
There is no other reason. If you look at the intake form, it also asks for intrusive data (real property, bank accounts, property, etc.) And the form holds you to 18 USC 1001 for concealing a material fact or making a false statement.
What does my benefit have to do with my bank account and possessions? If I gave up my youth, and destroyed my body for 20 years of service, why does the VA need to know these things? What is the database? Is this meant to manipulate the numbers for Obamacare prior to the mid-term elections?
And Semper Fi.
