Some of them must actually feel threatened by a cyclist. Why else would they think about killing them?

I think about the incredible tragedy it would be if I accidentally killed a cyclist after the cyclist did something dumb and reckless -- which I see them so all the time. If they screw up, and I cannot avoid them in time, then they end up dead, and my life ends up ruined. They threaten me because my life could be destroyed because they do something dumb.

I worry about that.

Being a skilled cyclist myself, I'm sure glad I never have to worry about anyone who has obtained a driver's license from the government doing something dumb and reckless.

Amen to that!

I was driving up Redwood Highway late at night, no street lights, when a bicyclist shot out in front of me, crossing the highway, riding to the other side of the road.

He assumed he was going fast enough from the cross street to clear my car, but he cleared my my bumper by maybe 6”, as he had way underestimated how fast I was going and how slow he was going.

He was wearing dark clothes, no lights or reflector strips, and wasn’t visible until he rode directly in front of my headlights, and while I’m sure some people here would have loved to have knocked him down, or...in Kevin’s case, to have run right over him, I thanked God profusely that I didn’t hit him.
