Some caller, to Medved show, suggested Matthew M play Bill Clinton in a film...Medved thought that was a good choice.

Rather anyone win than Fishmouth Roberts.
To: SomeCallMeTim

She was good.. but, not the best actress I saw this year.

I think the black lady gave a fine speech...

Did the “amazing” white guilt tearjerker win, or what?

Could never understand why the Hollywood crowd thought Julia Roberts was good looking. To me she looks like her brother Eric in drag. And that whiny voice is nauseating.

I may be wrong here, but this year’s show seems a little boring so far. Two good acceptance speeches, but otherwise kind of dull.
And best song nominees are so weak compared to previous years. Sad how what the “Academy” considers best has declined to that extent. Wow.

Yep, nothing this year topped last year’s “We Saw Your Boobs.”

Is it possible to make a film about American slavery without it drawing accusations of ‘white guilt’?

At least Pink does have a great voice...and Rainbow a beautiful song. Best part of the show so far for me.

In today’s America, no! It’s white guilt from the get go, and no one tries to do it without it.

Agreed. That version was powerful.
Honestly though....I thought Liza Minelli was dead. She has HAD to have some serious work done.

She looks like hell warmed over. She was so dynamic and fresh as a younger woman.

At work for the next couple of hours so just checking this thread every five or ten minutes - when category is announced please let me know and I’ll update the link on my computer to follow the winners. Unlike Drudge, I don’t think it updates automatically, but I could be wrong.
Thanks ...
