Mad Men fans know women took a lot of sexist hits in the past when it came to advertising. Heres a look at some of those cringe-worthy classics from the automobile world, along with some others that might make you question whether the good old days were always so good.

.... which, while true to a degree, doesn't imply that's what God CREATED them to do. Don't like it, take it up with Him. All the males alive at the time were asleep when it happened (a foretaste of things to come!). Doesn't mean the God advocates or even tolerates bad behavior toward women.
Is she an Episcopalian? Probably not since she says she is a “conservative”.
Someone was joking with me recently that when Sarah called Abraham Lord in her heart, it was more of an “Oh, dear lord!” thing! XD
>>that might make you question whether the good old days were always so good.
All of those just reminded me that the “good old days” really WERE that good!
I say "Yuck - don't buy a Chevy truck."
I buy a lot of toys for my grandson at Amazon, and you wouldn’t believe the number of reviews from women incensed over the fact that a toy fire truck has only male firemen. They’re thrilled when a fire truck, police car etc.has females or multicultural figures.
My first car was a 1975 Plymouth Valiant. Rusty, dusty and trusty. The slant-6 engine was nigh indestructible. It even survived an encounter with a 12 point buck (the car came with the nick name “The Deer Slayer.” Horrible rust problem, though. It was so rusted that one of the rear leaf springs had gone through the floor in the trunk. But it never failed to start and always got me where I was going. It had over 240,000 miles on it the day it finally met it’s end...when the gas tank was knocked out from under the car from a speed bump. The aforementioned leaf spring through the trunk made the car rid lopsided, sit the tank would hit the ground every now and then on speed bumps and potholes.
Is this really a Chevy ad? Surely not????
You're right. God cherishes all of His children, male and female. He made us different, and he made us (women) from Adam, but He doesn't value us less.
Until around 1955, when they changed the formulation. New owners of the company decided that Americans drank beer so cold that taste didn't matter all that much. Cheapen the ingredients and you have a less tasty beer.
The first cold swig is the one that refreshes you, but the bottom of the bottle is what you remember tasting the most, and it's not so cold by then.
No, she's an evangelical, she faithfully attends Bible study, and I have never known her to be anything other than conservative. I don't know where all that stuff came from.
I suppose she doesn’t wear a head cover when she enters church? I think I know what your answer will be.
LOL!
“And they went bankrupt and needed a gov’t bailout a few years later.”
But unlike GM, they paid the money back and early, too.
It’s a video on Vimeo advertising a wedding videographer:

I don’t understand the context to this discussion at all.
The receiver on that Winchester Model 12 is not to scale if he's using the Heavy Duck version.
That was written because the women in that church were always asking during the reading of Paul’s letters what did he mean. Then it was taken out of context to apply to all churches ever since.
Dog's not at heel - he's out past the muzzle of the gun.
That's a gun safety warning in a hunting test. Can deafen or even pepper your dog.
:-D
You spoke to Paul personally about his intent? You look very well for your age. :-)
Well that snide remark didn’t take long for a comeback. There are many books on that subject that support what I said. As for men having dominion over women, have some guy come to the flight deck when I’m the PIC and tell me what to do. Or a guy who doesn’t know anything about emergency medical procedures to tell me how to perform my duty. I suggest you do some studying.
