I support him too. The difference is... Cruz didn’t lie about where he came from
Neither was Cruz’s. out of 330 million people, we can’t find a Presidential candidate who was born in America. So damn sad!
If Frank Marshall Davis is Obama’s real father then Obama is a natural born citizen. Frank Marshall Davis was born in Arkansas City, Kansas and Stanley Ann Dunham was born in Wichita, Kansas. It wouldn’t matter if Obama was born in Kenya because both parents would be US. Citizens.
Which
Lies. AFAIK, Farah has never claimed Obama was born elsewhere than Hawaii.
Also, Obama’s supposed U.S. citizenship at birth depends ENTIRELY on his having been born in Hawaii. Cruz was unquestionably a citizen at birth, even though he was unquestionably born in Canada.
Also, Obama’s “birth certificate” is a crude forgery. So are the short-form “birth certificate” and the “draft registration.” And the Sosecurity number is stolen.
Ted Cruz’s father was not a citizen at the time of Ted Cruz’s birth. But Ted Cruz was.
And IMHO, that’s what the whole issue over Obamas fake BC is all about. As long as Davis is his real daddy, he could legitimately claim to be a NBC and hold the office of President. Thus, those few insiders who are in the know were willing to enter into the cover-up of his true father’s identity, since Obama has lied and used the name and nationality of B. Obama Sr. to falsely present himself as a foreign student to get financial aid and college admission.
It would have been pretty inconvenient around the time Obama was closing in on Hillary for the nomination for the word to get out that he was using a made-up name and that his real father was a well known Communist.
Yabut, then is he Barack Obama? How ya gonna prove that?
Ted Cruz was born in Canada and has Canadian citizenship (yes, he announced that he intends to formally, legally renounce it, for which I commend him, but even though there is no hurry, as far as I know, he hasn’t done it yet). Also his father did not become an American citizen until many long years after Ted was born and the family had moved back to the USA (it is troubling that the senior Cruz did not see fit to proudly become an American citizen at the earliest possible moment as the father is a heavy influence on the son).
Also, if Ted runs (something I don’t think is likely), I wouldn’t put it past the Dims to wait until it is too late to field another candidate and then try their best to have Ted disqualified as ineligible (obama fraud’s status won’t matter to them at that point - they are shameless amoral hypocrites).
Of course, Ted Cruz lives his life as more of a true blue American in each second than aka ever obama will in his entire lifetime (which hopefully will be unnaturally cut short by the wheels of justice). And if Ted Cruz does become our candidate for president, then I will be voting for him, but I sure hope he has the wisdom to get the SCOTUS to rule on his eligibility early on so the Dims can’t torpedo our guy just as he is making the final glide into the dock.
Sure he was, by the standards adopted in the Constitution. His parents were born in the Virginia Colony, which was part of the British Empire, at the time, so he was, as all colonists were, considered a British Citizen. When the colonies won their independence, he, and all others in the colonies, became citizens of the United States, so he was a citizen, when he became President.
The founders excluded themselves from the requirement since the US hadn’t been founded yet at the times of their births.
Nope. His father didn't become a citizen until 2005.
But it's irrelevant: Having been entitled to citizenship by birth (because of his mother), Ted is natural born.
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.[Posted on 03/19/2013 7:04:07 AM PDT by Perdogg]
Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... Sure he was, by the standards adopted in the Constitution.
Sounds like you're unfamiliar with the Framers' famous exemption clause in Article II, Secion 1:
"No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President..."
Yes, George Washington was a citizen of the newly formed United States, but he wasn't a natural born citizen, as he (like all the Framers) was born before the existence of the nation.
It was necessary for the Framers to insert that exemption into the Constitution in order to qualify those of their generation to hold the office of President.
I have no idea how you would prove that.
On the other hand, Barack Obama Senior claimed paternity of Barack Obama, II to the Immigration and Naturalization Service on August 31, 1961.
Not at the time he was born. His father was naturalized later.
The mother alone can convey NBC if she is of age. Ann Dunham was not.
