It’s just above freezing here in North Carolina. I have my Jiffy 72-cell mini-greenhouse outside in the sun. 54 broccoli sprouts, 6 red cabbage, 12 pointy-head cabbage.

In the raised beds the spinach is going well. I have onions and garlic out there too, planted in early November.

Mid-February I’ll put out the broccoli and cabbages, and sow garden peas and maybe turnips and radishes.

I have some onions, garlic, lettuce, spinach that I planted last fall too, but I haven’t ventured out. It’s covered with a double layer of row cloth, and Hubby put out lots of straw on top of it.

I don’t have much hope for anything other than the garlic and maybe the onion, because it has been so cold, and we haven’t had enough sunshine. Usually I can get several days of moderate weather and sunshine to uncover it during the winter, but not this year.
