As kids, we always dressed up our dog like a baby and hauled him around in our baby carriage. He lived to be 17 and I’m pretty sure his self-esteme was fully intact!

People are crazy. Of course it’s nutz for stupid people to screw with what Is natural. And to the extreme.

DISLIKE.

Naw, wouldn’t do this to my cats or a dog. Do this to a cat and you take a chance on pissing it off which leads to unpleasant revenge like crapping on your pillow.

I had a cat that had very thick fur. In the summer it bothered him a lot, and matted horribly So, I had the “lion cut” done for him. I did not think it cruel, I know he felt much better once I had that done.

Animals sense when they look stupid. I remember when we gave our Cocker Spaniel a short cut for the summer. He was clearly embarrassed by his ‘new’ look.

Try that with Her Highness and you’ll be missing a few pounds of skin.
We had to shave one of the drool monsters at 2 AM a couple of nights ago after a tangle with a skunk. I’ve been forgiven but hubby is still getting the evil eye.

ANY haircut you give to a cat, beyond trimming a long coat to help the cat stay cool, is going to look stupid.

I've had two long haired cats and ended up shaving both of them. One would lie down in front of me and meow until I figured out that was what she wanted. It was an anti-hairball technique. I had bought that tuna flavored hairball paste by the case until a friend told me it was too high in carbohydrates and was just like candy for her. No wonder she liked it so much.
I started shaving her and did not need the paste anymore and actually got a call from the mail-order pet store asking if the cat was still living. I guess she was a major contributor to their profit margin.
I kept a lion cut on her and she lived to be 16 years, 2 months old.

I wonder if James Traficant ever did this to his cat.
