Walmart
The one-stop big-box mega shop scored moderately well on its treatment of LGBT employees on the HRC Buyers Guide. However, its management hasnt always made the gay-friendly grade. CEO Mike Duke signed the anti-gay Arkansas adoption and foster care petition. Jim Walton, the youngest son of Walmart Founder Sam Walton, donated $75,000 to prevent gay adoptions in Arkansas. ..."

The Salvation Army isn’t a company, it’s a splinter Methodist denomination. Also, funny that the world’s two largest companies are on that list. Doesn’t seem to be hurting them much, does it?
While the Sally Ann isn’t a company but a charity, no matter the sect you or it claim it belongs to, it is the SOLE charity that truly walks its talk.
Its CEO brings home less in a year than your local united way scammer takes home in a month.
Money donated to the SA actually goes to its intended recipients. Can you say that about ANY other charity?
As to the politics of envy: wrong site. This isn’t communism today or dimrat underground,
Thanks for playing. Come again.
Here in Alabama LGBT means Let’s Get Bigger Tires. Also, “We’re going muddin has to do with 4X4’s and wery wet soil.”
WTF are you attacking me? I merely pointed out that it’s a church, not a company!
The Salvation Army is a Christian denominational church and international charitable organization structured in a quasi-military fashion. The organization reports worldwide membership of over 1.5 million,[1] consisting of soldiers, officers and adherents known as Salvationists. Its founders Catherine and William Booth sought to bring salvation to the poor, destitute and hungry by meeting both their “physical and spiritual needs”. It has a presence in 126 countries,[2] running charity shops, operating shelters for the homeless, and providing disaster relief and humanitarian aid to developing countries.
The theology of the Salvation Army is mainstream Methodist although it is distinctive in government and practice. The Army’s doctrine follows mainstream Christian beliefs, and its articles of faith emphasize God’s “saving purposes”. Its objects are “the advancement of the Christian religion of education, the relief of poverty, and other charitable objects beneficial to society or the community of mankind as a whole.”[3]

The headline did say “Five companies and a charity.” You’re correct, The Salvation Army is a church. According to their history, they became a separate denomination because they were converting people who weren’t accepted by existing churches.
Sole charity that walks the talk? Take a look at Catholic Charities and the St. Vincent de Paul society. On the latter, I’ve never seen an overhead greater than 0.1%.
Urban Outfitters?
Actually Wal Mart now is providing benefits to homosexual couples. This was reported a few months ago....benefits many straight WM folks do not get
Same with Staples.
I believe you can also count St. Jude's children hospital in that group as well.
Responsible givers know the Salvation Army is the biggest "bang for the buck" in all of charity kingdom.
Can never go wrong with a gift to them.
Thanks for posting this. I always appreciate lists of where I SHOULD shop.
I’ve made it a point to eat at Chick-fil-A several times during the past few months. This was actually somewhat of a sacrifice as I don’t really like their food - but I do like their attitude!
My brother is a volunteer with the St Vincent DePaul Society.
He pays the expenses of his “work” out of his own pocket, as do the other volunteers. From what he has told me, I’m surprised there is any overhead at all.
(Maybe they have to buy stamps or something.....)
“Ive made it a point to eat at Chick-fil-A several times during the past few months.”
Me too.
They’re not anti-gay. They just don’t believe that they should get special priviliges for doing non-normal things.
Here is the LGBT shopping guide. In it you will find business’s that they boycott.

Thanks a bunch.
Looks as if all you have to do is stick with the names in red. I was happy to find that several places I already do business with are red ‘0’s. Yea!
Five family-friendly companies and one honorable charity.
Yes, the last report for our local St.Vincent de Paul Society indicated yearly outlays of about $80,000 and total administrative expenses of around $16. So my statement of .1% expenses was actually 500% too high.
