I can tell how badly the show is going for me, by how soon I reach for the milk duds to distract me....(tonight it was at the 27 minutes in, mark)
Harry has turned into Simon ... only without the smart ass....
Perhaps it is Hyena week
I had to do ice cream a bit ago. Meatloaf is in a class of his own. Baby face boy has a smooth tone and the girles like him... but he has ZERO stage experience.... and it shows... The rest tonight wouldn’t get a call back from any record company. (pink hair was not with it tonight)
Seacrest asks him what he misses most about home.
Ben: The food. Especially deviled eggs and pickled beets.
He mixes things up with a slow(er) song. David Nail's "Turning Home". I can't understand the lyrics. Like he's trying to shout over the band. Bit of a mess.
Jlo: In the beginning something happened with the piano. [tries to be nice]
Harry: I did not connect with it and it felt shouted to me. Waiting for a knockout performance and we haven't seen it.
Keith: You have an incredible voice. You have the ability to be in charge of it. That can be a blessing and a curse. There was so much focus on technicality, I lost the story.
Seacrest surprises Ben with a plate of deviled eggs. Where did they come from and how long have they been sitting around?
Ben gulps down one and tries to take the whole plate. Seacrest halts him and takes three--in his bare hands--and gives them to the judges. "I don't know if I washed."
Harry and Keith gobble theirs. Jlo looks at her egg as if it might sprout wings and fly away.
I am eating Dove chocolates. They have little messages inside the wrapper.
I was howling with laughter over some of these comments, and I snorted. I open my Dove, and it says, “You have a great laugh.” Super. Even my chocolate mocks me. ;^)
I wonder which came first for this girl tonight.... the guitar or the clothes?
I am liking Majesty so far...
Majesty just hit a note that cracked at least 5 windshields in the parking lot! SHEESH!
A fro and a denim suit just doesn’t see to work together.

except for the big note. It was not in the chord everyone else was playing :) BUt yeah... pretty good...
I love that song-always have-but she ruined it with that last note....so sad....

I was going to suggest Miss Majesty Rose was pure perfection until that high note. Like a gymnast who didn’t stick a landing, wobble wobble, bobble, thud.
In the pimp spot with "Fix You" by Coldplay. Again, more shouting. It's pretty at the beginning when she's just singing and strumming the guitar, but the band and the background singers drown her out. I can barely hear her, much less understand her.
Harry: I wish you had stayed in that quiet zone.
Jlo: You don't always have to go for the big thing. But that was the zone for that song.
Keith: I know that we'll be seeing you next week.
Has to be the worst note ever for “finalists”.
And the judges ignored it.

I know. I had no sooner complimented her in a post, and then she went and did THAT. Danged if I do, danged if I don’t. ;^)
Again with the flash poll. Worthless. The popularity of the singer is the same as the order of their performance.
Tell Bentley I felt like howling too.
