Movie theaters are not what they used to be decades ago.

Argument apparently ensued between two couples due to cell phone used during movie.I'm betting the shooter was the cell phone user who felt "disrespected," if you know what I mean.
Of course, I'm never wrong, so maybe this could be a first.

Argument apparently ensued between two couples due to cell phone used during movie. ...and rather than doing more about the discourtesy of cell phone use, the libtards will seek to criminalize guns in public venues...
Personal note: Movie must've sucked. No one used a cell phone during Lone Survivor...

There was a large law enforcement presence at the theater just after 2 p.m.Why? To show the sheeple they have been protected from further harm?

And that is why I always have my phone on vibrate during movies

On the general subject of “being disrespected”:
I believe this is an offshoot of our current “You are special” culture. People have been soaked in this so long that they believe it. So everybody is walking around with an “I am special and don’t you forget it!” chip on their shoulder. Don’t you DARE even hint that any of my life choices are less than wonderful!
Contrast this with Christian theology that teaches us we are redeemed sinners who are condemned to hell without the righteousness of Christ. We are nothing without him. I walk through this world knowing that I am no better than any other sinner...just forgiven.

Local News Update: The shooter is a retired Tampa cop, Curtis Reeves. Asked the guy texting (Chad Oulson) to stop. Oulson didn't stop. Reeves left his seat to get theater staff to resolve the rude patron. Upon returning, Oulson with the cell phone was giving Reeves a lot of lip about tattling on him to theater management.
An altercation (at minimum popcorn) ensued, and Reeves fired his weapon once (per Pasco Co. sheriff). The single shot injured Oulsen's wife in the hand, and penetrated Oulson's chest, killing him in short duration. An off duty Sumter sheriff's deputy detained Reeves until local LEO arrived.

I have to tell you, my heart skipped a beat when this first came on the local TV. Mr. RightField had gone to see the 2:05 showing of Lone Survivor at a theater here in Largo. When the first report came on the TV, they just said the name of the movie and that the shooting occurred "on Florida's west coast, near Tampa," not the exact location. It was a minute or two before I learned which theater was involved.
