So what is the Temp and Weather where everyone is right now?
Hoping for some snow before winter is over. It hasn't snowed here in........ I can't even remember the last time we had snow. Kids can grow to adulthood and never see snow fall. My dad used to drive us north if he heard it snowed within 100 miles, just so we could see it.
Yup, we got a hell of a lot of snow. The closest I can gauge is a bit under 20 inches, but with the wind blowing it’s hard to measure (yeah, I took a yard stick out to the back patio!). So, I think it’s safe to say we got somewhere between 16” and 20”. All I know is I’ve been shoveling and shoveling and shoveling and....
34 degrees and foggy in Charlottesville, VA. Supposed to go down to 5 degrees tomorrow night though...
~ 3F front range colorado.
probably drop to -10 or so overnight. After 2 days of snow off and on, we should break freezing tomorrow and start melting it.
This is the worst first six weeks of winter I’ve seen since I’ve been in Northern Illinois (22 years). We’ve had at least some kind of snow activity everyday since December 1, be it a little dusting or a real dumping. But everyday has had some of the white stuff. I’ve been a shoveling fool the last five weeks, but especially the last two weeks.
At my home here in Connecticut the Temperature right now is 33 degrees F.Foggy though its supposed to rain later.
It is 5° with wind chill of -16° here in Springfield,MO. Moved here from Dallas to escape the heat! Didn’t count on it being this cold though. Also eight inches of snow so far, still
snowing.
We had more snow last month than we had the entire year before. Weather is going crazy!!
Minus 26 below tonight. Outstate from the Mpls./St.Paul metro in Minnesota.
**SNORT!** Thanks, needed a laugh today! :-)
74. I’m in FL.
:^) Take care...
Currently 27 and dropping in McKinney, TX. Not bad. Wind chill is expected to be around 0 in the morning.
My saving grace is that my Brother in Law has a snowplowing service, so in return for watching his kids today he cleared my driveway -- 3 TIMES -- during the snowstorm.
My sons and his sons got an entrepreneurial spirit in them today so they grabbed shovels and went out to make some money today. Each of 'em brought home $75. (They made just over $300 between the four of 'em.)
Best Part: I never even suggested it to them. They figured it out for themselves that they could make some money today. One of our neighbors is in his late 60's -- he was so happy they came over and shoveled his driveway he gave them $30. Called us and RAVED that he hadn't seen anyone do that in years and we had really good kids. Right after he paid them, the village snow plow came by and blocked his driveway. The boys went and cleared it for him after he'd already paid them. They then went back to the first driveway they shoveled and cleared the end of that driveway also. That neighbor came out and gave them another $10 on top of what she'd already paid them.
Went to a place by Universal Studios called Warren’s Blackboard the other night. I sat outside around 8:00pm and ate dinner, with no heater. I was wearing a short sleeved shirt.
I know you folks have it tough back there. I used to live in Missouri, so I know some of what you’re going through. I’ve been in weather down to about 5 degrees below zero, with three feet of snow on the ground. That’s not as bad as you folks experience it, but I haven’t always been in a mild temperate zone.
Went to Mammoth one time when they had 12 feet of snow on the ground. Ouch!
Well I honestly tried to resist replying, but I just couldn’t. After 40+ years in Ohio (all my life), I moved my family to the Tampa area this past end-of-summer. You can bet I am relishing in the fact that it has been an awful late Fall and start to Winter where we moved from. Today, my wife and I and my younger daughter went to the community pool. It was sunny and 82 here - it actually felt hot taking down my Christmas lights on the house.
It’s 66 and clear right now.
But don’t worry, a lot of central and southern Florida is going to get a frost or even a freeze Monday and Tuesday night. I guess it happens down here every so often.
Fort Worth, Texas; Sever clear at 25F with a wind chill of 15F.
Seattle high 40s today and 41 right now at 7 pm. Forcast to be the same for the rest of the week.
No rain last 3 days, beautiful sun, clear views of white capped mountains and water.
I just hope this is the one and only cold snap we have like this, this year. The last two winters here have been pretty mild. The last five weeks here have really made my AS flare up BAD. (AS - Ankylosing Spondylitis. It's like Rheumatoid Arthritis, but 10x worse.)
32F near Providence, Rhode Island
Fargo. Supposedly it’s -18 right now. I think it’s a lot colder. They are still predicting -36 for tonight.
