Mossberg has begun shipping some of the shotguns to distributors, according to spokeswoman Linda Powell. She declined to name specific retailers that will carry them.
Duck Commander was founded 40 years ago by Phil Robertson, the family patriarch who was recently suspended -- and then reinstated -- by A&E after speaking his religious values about homosexuality. He and his sons are featured prominently in four video ads for the new guns on Mossberg's web site. Phil narrates one of the spots saying, "Do you know what makes me happy ladies and gentlemen? To blow a mallard drake's head smooth off."

I saw a picture of some family members in a room and the walls, chair and people were all decked out is duck camouflage. It was hard to tell where the people were, except for their heads. lol

What I read and hear about theses folks I like. I have never and probably will never watch the show and I will rot to dust before I’d buy a product stamped with any of their likenesses or logos. My life does not require me to follow, use, or purchase the biggest fad of the moment.
The Duck Dynasty Memorial Model will be shaped like a duck with the gun barrel slightly protruding from the duck’s mouth. One leg will function as a trigger and the other will open the gun and allow for loading the gun through the.....ah....well........loading port.

But this has nothing to do with the current situation. We are not dealing with a inference of guilt but an inference of danger to police. One certainly has right to freedom of speech but if multiple witnesses testified in a warrant hearing that the occupant of the house has stated on multiple occasions in the last week that he would "kill any cop who came to his door and had the means to do it" one would certainly infer a danger to police in serving the warrant. Other than a hostage situation, I don't think no-knock warrants should ever be used. The danger created is just as high as the danger seeking to be avoided. If the police believe the house is so dangerous a "no-knock" warrant is necessary then secure the occupants when they leave the premises and even secure the perimeter if necessary to do so and starve them out. I don't care if they may flush the drugs down the toilet. The destruction of evidence is not as much a concern as a loss of life.
