Bacon may extend life expectancy
Researchers at ETH Zurich have found that foods rich in niacin -- including bacon -- can help you live longer, therefore making it advantageous to eat foods that are rich in the vitamin.
Professor Michael Ristow and his team fed a group of roundworms a niacin-rich diet and found they lived

I’m racking my brain and can’t come up with any food item that is not delicious when wrapped in bacon.

Bacon is perhaps the best food you can put into your body. Followed closely (and in no particular order):
Cheese (especially wrapped in bacon)
Beer (to wash down all the bacon)
Buttered toast (especially wrapped around bacon strips)
Shellfish (especially wrapped in bacon)
Eggs (especially with bacon!)
Pizza (especially with bacon topping!)

We have a particularly sumptuous, thick-cut Applewood-smoked bacon made here in NH that I normally consume with Sunday brunch. Tomorrow, I will include some in my Christmas seafood chowder.

Brussel Sprouts and Beets.
The bacon is still good (but diminished) if wrapped on these.
But Brussel Sprouts and Beets never reach the point of delicious, improved yes, but far from delicious.

That is hilarious. The first thing I thought of was Brussel Sprouts. But you’re wrong. The way my wife cooks them they are good. And with bacon, Nom, nom, nom...
To: thackney
You'd have to wrap brussel sprouts or beets in $100 bills to get me to look at them.
I like most veggies, but those two, along with cauliflower and asparagus, emphatically DON'T make the cut. And lima beans. Meh.

My great grandmother used to make a salad dressing with bacon grease in it.

But Brussel Sprouts and Beets never reach the point of delicious, improved yes, but far from delicious. That just means you didn't use enough bacon.
