FR also isn’t catching the part about, “The recent comments in the GQ article are not reflective of Under Armour’s beliefs and do not represent our point of view,” the company said in a statement. “As a company, we are committed to diversity and inclusion and believe in treating everyone equally and with respect.”
In truth he never mentioned Jim Crow.
Does not surprise me - that is what I heard as a summary on Fox News. Even Fox can’t get it right - I heard part of what he said and if that was racist I don’t understand the meaning of the word.
Another leftist lynching by the PC police.
Let’s buy some Under Armor for Christmas gifts!
"I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person," Robertson told GQ writer Drew Margary. "Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. Im with the blacks, because were white trash. Were going across the field.... Theyre singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, I tell you what: These doggone white peoplenot a word!... Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues."
Don't aks me to find the racism in it. lol
Someone in that company kept their wits about them.
Well, whadda ya know? They agree with Phil Robertson on that, so they must condone SOME of what he said.
certainly not in my price range
My husband loves UnderArmour. He has quite a few items, and they wash and wear very well.
He bought the storied Sagamore racing farm in Baltimore County. I was fortunate enough to be able to ride on his property when I boarded my horse nearby. It’s one of the most beautiful places on the planet!
Good - won’t have to return the UA stuff we bought for our daughter for Christmas to Dick’s......
They only condone their profit margin, not with his Christian values. Bottom line, they should have kept their nose out of it.
Anyone hear anything from Pizza Hut, and Home Depot? Both advertise on DD.
I’ve read his book. He grew up dirt poor. He worked along side of poor blacks. He was talking from his view of the world.
