Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson and his family believe they have been ‘hung out to dry’ by TV network A&E after he was suspended for homophobic comments made in a magazine interview, MailOnline can reveal.
Sources within the close-knit Louisiana clan say they are convinced A&E are manipulating the controversial situation to bring them – and particularly Robertson – back into line after Television executives grew tired of the family pushing their deeply-held, Christian beliefs.
They also think the network could have done something to stop the controversial GQ article being made public, because an A&E representative was present during the interview with patriarch, Roberston, 67.

You know I can't help but wonder if because of Political Correctness and Corp types afraid of their shadows,that the various thought police lobbies have overstepped their bounds and they don't know it, follow me on this.

Let us suppose it wasn't just Phil's Religious comments but how they dovetail into Politics after all the left probably will brand him a right winger whether he is or not. So in a sense he was an Activist for Conservative Values...
Ok, if you can now fire someone for being an activist for traditional family values, staying away from sin, and how that dovetails into Conservative Politics, than is it now not fair game to fire a vocal activist type employee on the left who is spouting the activist line of insert leftist organization name here?

Sure we can. Cancel the teevee service. Your money stops going to A&E, CNN, MSNBC, MTV...all of the teevee networks. The loss in revenue also gets the attention of said cable ISP. You're looking for reasons to justify the continuation of paying people who hate you. Maybe the wife will leave you if you cancel it. Maybe your kids will throw a temper tantrum. You need to get honest with yourself about why you keep paying them and quit making excuses. Did you think taking away one of the support mechanisms of the people that want you and those like you socially contained was going to be neat, clean and without some sacrifice? You're going to have to offend someone.
No, since part of your subscription fee you pay every month goes to them whether or not you watch them. Same goes with CNN, MSNBC, MTV and all the other networks that look at you like you’re some kind of rube to be made fun of. Cable and satellite won’t sell them to you a’la carte
Go back and read your own post. Do you think using GOD’s name in vain makes your point more important? Well do you? Who are you then to tell people what they can or can not have in their home? If a Marxist moves onto your street will you burn your house down? TV especially in rural areas serves a legitimate purpose especially where no signal exist. I’ve got a huge news flash for you. If you so much as use the internet, make a phone call cell or landline, etc YOU are using a service from a company that supports liberal venues. Are you ready to show us your real purity and log off the net now? I didn’t think so.
Don’t care what people think who are hell bent on justifying paying for their fix each and every month. I don’t care about the respect of entertainment junkies. You can choose to ignore me. Please do if a used one word you don’t like. It’s not like you are willingly paying me every month to produce and deliver programs that make fun of you, or paying me to censor or cancel shows that show your beliefs in a positive light. Take you pick. I’m getting to the point where you all can’t dare me to care about you. Much like the stereotypical dumb bird that would drown itself by looking up in a rainstorm, I’m tiring of arguing with fools.
TV in itself like most things in life can be used for good or bad. What you watch determines that. If you don't like the networks political activity write letters to them or better yet their sponsors. Oh that's right you can't because Mr is 99.4 percent pure I don't have a TV yourself has no idea who sponsors what.
I make it a point as much as possible to support sponsors of the better shows. The fact that Phil Robertson through many venues has been able to be a positive influence for kids is mainly because of his initial television exposure that given him. They didn't start out as Duck Dynasty they started out on TV in an outdoor show.
I refuse to surrender all I have and all I enjoy because it has been taken over by some fringe group. I'd rather fight to take it back from them thank you very much.
Anyway, for A&E this will be a lose / lose.
Keep paying them. Please. Ignore everything I’ve said.
Again I refuse to surrender to them by saying OK here ya go you can take television over. Way too much of that has happened in all aspects not just TV. YOU LOOSE all and gain nothing saying here take it it's yours I'm gonna go pout now. There are good networks out there you are punishing. Go directly after the bad ones. Understand now?
BTW it seems protesting directly to sponsors does work. Caracker Barrel just Blinked due to customer outrage. More pressure on the Libs.
And just like a junkie in yet another attempt to rationalize your entertainment addiction, you went on about how pressuring the show's sponsors works so well because cracker barrel caved to popular pressure. Except that cracker barrel wasn't a sponsor, they were just selling the duck merchandise in their stores. But don't let little details like that get in the way of what was really going on. Junkies will make every excuse they can for their behavior.
I have satellite service for several good reasons. A most of the time bed ridden wife who likes some form of entertainmant and contact with what is going on in the world and watches religous broadcast etc. The fact a local over the air signal is an impossibility due to terrain where we live. The fact I'm on dial up internet with no other alternative in my service area not even Hughes net due to location so I need the dish {which aims in a different direction than Hughesnet Internet} to get local news as well.
Other than that it's really none of your stinking business anyway because you are just a typical run of the mill Troll looking for a fight. LOL
