I have a 2013 Challenger Hemi R/T like #30 on the left. Same hood with the rally spoiler, all black.

For a while the Challenger was my favorite muscle car, but then I came to appreciate the Baracuda more, and now it's my favorite. The '71 is the best of the best: four headlights and the fish gills on the front quarter panel.
Everybody loves the Hemi motor, but there was an embarrassment of great motors available: 340, 383, 440, and the 427 Hemi. I think the 340 six-pack was the one that won the Car and Driver shootout of the era, and the one used in TransAm racing, which had a 350cc displacement limit. Drag racers, then as now, liked the big block motors though. The 440 sixpack is legendary.
I also like 1970 Mustang Mach1's and early body style Cameros, and the Dodge Charger has been growing on me...

Hey, where is my 1969 Satellite? It had the small block 318 that could kick 350 Cameros’ butts!!
It hydraulic lifters so there were no tappets.
Ah, the good old days when you could WORK on a car!

Great photos, but not one shot of the gorgeous "Ramcharger" intake manifold setup of the mid-sixties.
Always wondered just how effective those were. Sure looked like they made working on the engine hard.

Anyone here remember how much the AMC Marlin resembled the 67 Charger?

Ah, the good old days when you could WORK on a car!It was actually a learning experience that kids today do not have. We send far too many kids to college, where the only thing they learn is entitlement.
