Blessings to you, I cared for my dad until he passed in March of 2012. It still hurts to remember but I am thankful I could be there for him.
May the Good Lord comfort you in this time of your loss.
Blessings to you this Christmas Season. I am sorry your dog is gone. Thankfully your dog had you folks for some good years, I am sure those years were a blessing to you.

So very sorry for your loss. May each day bring less pain and little bit more joy. She is with the Lord and in no pain. I don’t know if you’re a reader, but I highly recommend Gary Kurz’ books on the subject. There are some other good books on the subject as well, if you google “Animals in Heaven” on the Amazon site.
Sorry to hear of the passing of your good friend. I have a dog that turns 18 on Wednesday Dec 18. She is on her last leg, and but for the grace of God she would have died four years ago when she had a stroke.
She, Hershee, has been by my wife’s side 24/7. They are attached at the hip, and I dread the day she passes over the Rainbow Bridge to the place she will live eternally.
My prayers for you in your time of mourning for your friend.

I dunno, it sounds like an especially long run wouldn’t be much of a shock once it came to an end. Or one preceeded by much suffering in which death comes as a relief.
It’s an appointment we all must keep.
