Soliciting advice from experts, aka, freepers in general. Subject: Hunting property security. I am looking for advice from experts here concerning some type of wireless camera, both indoor and outdoor, to provide real time observation to a remote computer, cell phone, and ipad. My goal is to see what is going at a property located a hundred miles away. I have internet service to the property but I need a way to observe what is going on inside the living area and outside. Is there a reliable wireless system out there that a freeper can recommend?
They can’t monitor mine. My driveway is exactly one mile long and the road is rather treacherous.
yes, I am aware of all the crap coming from china.
My CPA, who is kind of anal, even for a CPA, got that system for nis new home. He did ALOT of research.

I only need the wireless for a couple of outdoor cameras and same indoor. I do have power inside and out and will use batteries as necessary. Yes, I think 100 foot range will work if it penetrates thru a shop wall.
For later
Treacherous how? LOL!
Your driveway is one mile long?
Good lord.
.
We use this:
Completely wireless, weatherproof, night vision, motion detection, saves videos to the cloud, alerts us via email when motion is detected. Adequate video quality, and no audio. Supports 5+ cameras. Works for us. Would like better video quality, and the ability to record more than one video feed at a time, but that’s the tradeoff for wireless ...
I would check out http://avigilon.com.
Canadian Company with all components designed and manufactured there.
Nice software with open architecture.
I have been begging my husband to arm up the house for years. We live in the country but no place is safe. He researched it and liked what he read. It took a while to get my daughter to remember to arm up the house when she left but now things seem to be routine!
Very steep. if the least bit wet, 4WD is a necessity.
IF you have ever been in the Ozarks, you can fully understand how this happens.

I have hooked up ADT in the past and run wire for direc tv and other carriers. Depends on your set up area. Is there a pic of the area or can I look at the address on Google maps? How much hunting area? Just barns or is this a living area? Many of the suggestions the posters have listed will work.
I’ll second the recommendation from another poster of Nightowl security systems. I monitor my second home with a system that has eight cameras, which all record to a hard disk.
I can watch the cameras in real time with my laptop or smartphone. The picture resolution isn’t great, but good enough. I also have a device called “Homesitter”, which calls my cellphone if the temperature in the house gets too high or too low, or if there is a water leak.
Now, if you need advice on a wireless home security system, that I can help with. I installed one myself for about $400 and it has yet to fail or false. It is awesome. No wiring up zones and all that crap.
One needs a land-line for this $26 unit.
That excludes me.
bump for later
