Researchers recently took data from the Facebook app Are You Interested and found that not only is race a factor in our online dating interests, but particular races get disproportionately high and low amounts of interest.
Of the 2.4 million heterosexual interactions researchers reviewed, the findings show:
The business site Quartz graphed these preferences using data on the percentage of "yes" responses to the "Are you interested?" question on the app. The data suggest some uncomfortable stories about racial preferences in online dating.
Back in 2009, the folks over at OKCupid culled through the site's data and similarly found that race played a big role in who would respond to messages, with some similar (and a few different) findings.
Some quick facts from the OKCupid data:

They need to break down the category “white women” into more specific categories. I don’t think men consider “Berserkly womyn” and Russian women to be in the same category.
ROFLMAO!!!!
Yes, she got into the business with strong input from her interracial cousin, Kitty Litter.
Either that or she is a big fan of Lightning McQueen...and changed her name.
Not necessarily. I met my fiance online dating. Though you have to wade through a field of daisies to find a rose.
Lol! That last graph is sad, even black men don’t prefer black women....
That raises the question....do people on these sites respond to what they want...or what they think they can get?
The vaunted halls at NPR are filled with homosexuals.
When they do “straight” news it’s in a “dating” vein.
Also, you’ll find a soft, incessant undermining of “traditional” concepts and values. 24/7
“Asian Guys respond most to Latin Women?????”
Perhaps they know something most men don’t? Have to say though the Asian women are the most feminine of the lot, went shopping with the wife this past weekend and the only women wearing dresses/skirts where Asian women (even then a small minority of the Asian women do this). They also tended to be the most thin (although that’s changing rapidly, unfortunately). The view of Asian women being meek submissive wives though is vastly wrong, they are anything but that which may be why Asian guys are going for Latinos who are for the most part very traditional and look to the man to lead.
Who you choose to date is about a personal a decision as one can make, and should not be judged by anyone else.
Racist? How does that affect anyone besides you?
Culturally insensitive? So what? There is no obligation to date anyone tp make them feel good.
I make a partial exception for same-sex attraction. I don’t care, myself, but keep it to yourself. I do feel one should be warned that God might have an opinion, but most such people know that already.
It depends on how much conflict you are willing to accept when you bring your intended home to your disfunctional family.
Functional families are all alike. Disfunctional families all have their own kind of disfunction.
lol
I’m not denying that
There is nothing here that a little democrat legislation can’t fix.
Maybe more black men know the racism business is just that, a scam and more black women actually believe the bilge about all whites being racist?
Maybe black women would get better results overall if so many of them didn’t have kids out of wedlock?
Especially angry balck women. . .oh wait. . is there any other kind?
;-/
I've also noticed the large number of companies that have "Obama look-alike" bi-racial black men in ads. It's as if after Obama got elected every ad agency decided that "Obama" was the "look" American consumers wanted.
