Anyone who opposes the Affordable Care Act is a subhuman (Why Fry a Turkey when You can Zot Them?)

Anyone who opposes the Affordable Care Act is a subhuman. It is a great law but lying republicans are trying to destroy it. I signed up with no problem on the website. Republicans want to repeal my new insurance. Obama is a hero!

We all need a happy ending once in a while! The world is so full of reality’s gloom and doom that it’s hard to focus on the minor (and not-so-minor) miracles that occur around us.

I’m always elated when a story like this comes out with everyone surviving, in spite of the odds.

I hope your eyes are great this morning.

We have Sunbeam, but it’s cold. Shannon is lying on her back in the hall, showing her belly to everyone. Tacky!

I slept well last night, and this morning, I’m getting used to the new clarity and brightness of the world around me. I’m going to send a thank you card to the doctor.

He called me last night, just to make sure I was OK and that my left eye wasn’t painful. He was still in surgery when I went for my post op yesterday, so there was a fill-in doctor. I didn’t care, as long as I got the go-ahead.

And of course, I am so very, very happy with the results!

I’m trying to get a few things done this morning, as I will be at Busdaddy’s tonight, and maybe tomorrow night, as he has to take his truck in for repair to the fender. I need to take my laundry, but I’m not supposed to lift anything over 20 pounds for the next few days, so getting the laundry basket in the truck is going to be a job for someone else.

I don’t really want to go, as I have a complete physical due to take place on Friday, but I’m a soft touch, I guess.

Afternoon, y’all. I’m going to put Kathleen to bed and then read to the byos, I think.

I had a strange dream, well more than one I think, sort of combined. In one there was a big old dusty attic and there were animals. I (from my perspective) opened a couple of them and found the back of a sleeping Bengal tiger, shut them back of course.

Obviously my memory of the dreams started fading when I woke up.

In another dream, I assume it was a different one, a guy who owned a very old people full of mementos and stuff from the 1930’s was in bad economic shape. The original owner had died decades ago he had been a depressed alcoholic after his film making career went bad. There was a film that was never finished.

The new owner, once a minor celebrity for no good reason, and a couple of friends took jobs as “trainers” of athletes. They went to the desert where they had no idea what they were doing, but they had fun. One of them found he purely enjoyed the runs, even though he kept losing his lunches and things.

On the way back there was an emergency called. Nothing happened but the media harped on his former celebrity past in a way that mocked him. He was a laughingstock. His friends tried to explain the charitable things he did, even pointing out the young Olympic hopefuls who had been on the trip with them to no avail.

The guy was depressed. Back in the old lounge from the 30’s he decided not to drown his sorrows like the original did, instead he ate ice cream. He told his friends the story of the unfinished film.

It had starred Betty Brubaker who died tragically after the financial problems ended the film. It had been nearly finished, he told them, it just missed the big comedic ending. This lounge was haunted some said, he told them, he himself had never seen seen the ghost but he believed others had.

While the film was a comedy, it was also a tragedy. It defied its genre, which is why no one had picked it up and finished it at the time. After the star died it was considered curse.

Old Joe opened a locked cabinet and took out film canisters and laid them on the table. AT this point the two friends saw a light move across the back of the room behind old Joe who was still talking.

It came right to the table and the ghost of a woman appeared hovering over the film cannisters. Old Joe continued talking because he could not see ghosts.

“Joe shut up, she’s talking” the rude first friend said

That is when Joe noticed the other friend was mesmerized by something above the table.

The second friend was seeing what the ghost showed him:

3 women dressed as they did in the 30’s walking down a small road, narrow like a driveway, side by side. They were talking about the ‘show’ they would be putting for a dying girl, her sister. Betty Brubaker was the girl in the middle.

In front of them the narrow road merged into another road. On this one there looked like some kind of parade of kiddie cars, baby elephants and circus-like things from the period. But something went wrong and their little parade became chaotic and everything was going wrong.

Betty Brubaker was frantic to save the show and dodged the pedal cars and tiny tractors and panicking dwarf drivers and loose animals into the “little big top”.

There she found her little sister on the shoulders of a tall man, she was laughing more than Betty had seen her laugh in a long time. The child had liked seeing the chaos.

“But why do you like it so much?” Betty inquired, surveying the scene as a tiny tractor was pushed by a mob of baby elephants through a popcorn machine.

“I am glad when things don’t go as planned” she said, and Betty understood. The doctors said the girl had no chance to recover, that her script had already been written.

The man carrying her little sister happened to be the man Betty was engaged to, and he also enjoyed the scene. Well, boys were boys after all. He would run the show and when he and Betty locked eyes, he winked. She knew that nothing in the circus would go as planned.

The trapeze artists would miss, the tight rope walker would fall into the net, the clowns would probably find a way to go wrong. He would make sure of it now, she knew.

The ghost was telling him to finish the story, finish the film.

“We need to find actors, costumes, sets, props and all that?” the second friend shook his head, “I don’t see how its possible, can it look like the same film?”

“We just need the ending” Old Joe said “With today’s special effects, we could fix some of the details, something like 10 minutes of film?”

“I can write it” the friend who had seen the ghosts story said “Making it would be tough though”

but that is what they had to.

You dreamed a whole movie? I had that happen with an economics term paper once.

Lol, I doubt that would never happen to me. But I think some of my strange dreams would make pretty good stories if I could remember them longer after waking up.

I got an A on the economics paper.

DP bought a new computer instead of having the old one fixed again, but he doesn’t have it all set up yet.

Speaking of pair of noids, I note, according to the earthwatching dude that posts stupit on EweToob, that Ison, that cone of evil, has now disconnected Lovejoy's tail. It's evil, I tell you..

I'm sure that he flunked plane geometry. And was totally clueless when he got to non-euclidian space..

I'm thinking that it must be a boring life out in Yosemite...
