Anyone who opposes the Affordable Care Act is a subhuman (Why Fry a Turkey when You can Zot Them?)

Anyone who opposes the Affordable Care Act is a subhuman. It is a great law but lying republicans are trying to destroy it. I signed up with no problem on the website. Republicans want to repeal my new insurance. Obama is a hero!

Any relief from the syrupy sappiness that is the onslaught of Christmas Music Ad Infinitum is very welcome!

And on another note, Harry Reid is hospitalized...

Do they make "Stay Sick" cards?

I just posted over there...I can’t love the man, but since I want to be forgiven, I will forgive him. Perhaps a good scare will give him perspective...

“Folks “back then” were fearless in their limited knowledge”

I believe that limited knowledge creates fearlessness.
There are things i wouldn't dream of doing now, that some years ago would have been an absolute ‘must do’.
Older, collected more data, engages the OHHAah filter.
The Brendan Voyages are a case in point.
Faith overcame St Brendan's fear. If he had had modern charts he would have built a bigger boat.
But still gone on the adventure.
The Guy who recreated the voyage in the 1970s (Tim Severen?) openly admits that they where scared for most of the crossing.

..were would we be without their courage?

Still playing bowls on Plymouth hoe.

I think a lot of voyages were started on faith alone, from the idea of the trip to the final anchorage.

As my mother said, when relating to me her bout with diphtheria as a child, “I didn’t know I was supposed to die from it, so I didn’t.”

Works for me!

Hi. Survived the Outing. I took James, Vlad, Frank, and Kathleen to the library. Then we walked up to Subway and got sandwiches for their supper. They were having a $2 special! Then the boys ran around the park for a bit while Kathleen ate a cookie.

Then we loaded up and went back to the Envirothon party to retrieve Tom, Elen, Sally, and Pat. It took us a while to find Pat, of course. Now I want to put them all to bed and get my feet up, but it’s too early.

If I weren’t expecting company, I would have been in bed three or four hours ago. I’m cold, my back hurts, and I want my mommie!

I hope tomorrow is a quiet day. I’m feeling better, but still get breathless if I over-do it, or don’t watch the salt intake.

Your day sounds like it was very busy. You have my permission to prop your feet up!

I lounged in the living room with babies climbing on me, reading “The Miracle of Father Kapaun.”

Tom has been accepted to Appalachian State. No word on his financial aid, yet, but I’m sure they’ll offer some.

Excellent for Tom! Congratulations!

Reading to babies is always good. It helps when you can relax while doing it. I’m still waiting for my company, but they have about 30 minutes before I head for bed. This is going to mess me up for the next three days.

I like my iPad, but the small print makes hard to read sometimes.

Agreed, i bought a plastic sheet magnifier to cope with the small font on the iPad.
You would think they would have got the font size sorted by now.

But.. they DO have it sorted out.

It's an Apple product. Apple knows better than you what you want. So... you won't get larger font sizes. Cupertino says you don't want it and they won't offer it..

Ah i see.
So if it is readable in the Coffee shop on 36andN street it must be okay everywhere. I see.
