Seventh Woods may just very well be the best 14-year-old ball player I have ever seen on tape. A basketball highlight reel of the high school freshman on Youtube shows athletic abilities not even seen on prized freshmen on the college level.
In the mix tape, the 61″ South Carolina teen showcased an assortment of powerful dunks, finessed ball handling techniques, and an aggressive defensive game. Scouts must be drooling over this kid.
In his first year at Hammond High School, Woods averaged 19.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals according to MaxPreps.
As of right now, he is undecided on his college future. Keep your eye out for him these next few years to see if this is a glimpse of a future NBA great.
Check out his basketball highlight mix tape here.

Hey baby! Remember that TV show where the little bald guy wanted to name his kid Seven?
Seventh?...someone actually named their kid that?
In a couple weeks his team will be playing at my daughter’s school. Can’t wait to go watch him live.
We hear about these phenoms every few years, and for every LeBron the other hundred never amount to anything.
Maybe Septimus was already taken.
Now if he can just keep it in his pants and not knock up a dozen women in the hood.
Not sure about the hood part per sey. Tuition at this school is about $15,000.
High priced private schools give scholarships to young athletes all the time.
Old Roman custom. Primus, Secundus, Tertius, Quartus, Quintus, Sixtus, Septimus, Octavius, etc.
True. I’ll check the grapevine and see what I can shake out.
Has he got one of those Hawaiian Birth Certificates?
Seventh?...someone actually named their kid that?”
Maybe he was the seventh child born to Mr. and Mrs. Woods and they just couldn’t come up with a name.
I’d bet his parent think Rome is where ramen noodles come from...
Slam dunks never impressed me. It’s why I got bored with basketball. So a really tall guy can run up to a basketball hoop and stuff a basketball through it.
I’m 6’1” and I can’t dunk. Even when I was 14.
Got news for you, 6’ 1” isn’t really that tall when it comes to basketball players.
